  • The Queensland Super Sedan Title will be held this Saturday night at the Kingaroy Speedway, with West Australian, Gary Higgs, set to take on arguably the strongest field for a Queensland Title in many years.

Twenty nine drivers have entered, with five of the six drivers who have won the last ten titles all in the field.

Matt Pascoe, a five times winner of the event, including the last three, heads the line-up, which also includes four times winner, Wayne Randall, two time winner Darren Kane along with Matt Williams and Victorian Mick Nicola.

Higgs and son Dustin will fly back to Brisbane on Thursday to complete final preparations on the car, before heading to Kingaroy on Saturday morning.

“It’s a new track for us, Gary’s really pumped for this one, its as close to a National Title field as you are going to get”, said Dustin Higgs today.

Higgs, who won a heat race and finished fourth in the A Main in a brand new car at Archerfield ten days ago, will be more familiar with the car this time around, but will need to adjust quickly to the Kingaroy venue, which is practically a circle.

The event in its 47th running has never had a West Australian on the podium, with only seven drivers from interstate ever finishing in the top three, adding an additional challenge for Higgs.

    Racing Starts at 5.00pm EST.
