• A stout field of more than 50 cars is set to invade Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool this coming Saturday night for the opening round of the Parr Motorsports Sprintcar Track Championship.

Opening night which also doubles as Round 3 of the Eureka Sprintcar Series has attracted many of the Nations best with two-time Australian Champion James McFadden, fresh off a win in Sydney last Saturday night, joining fellow Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Champions Jamie Veal and Corey McCullagh in the field.

Another former Aussie Champion, David Murcott also returns to Warrnambool for car owner Matt Eastham while Grant Anderson will also be another to keep an eye on come Saturday night.

Joining Veal as Eureka Series Champions in the line-up on Saturday include Darren Mollenoyux, John Vogels, Mike Van Bremen, Matthew Reed and Brett Milburn while defending Series Champion Rusty Hickman is also entered.

A Posse of tough South Aussies will also trek across the Border on Saturday with Glen Sutherland, Brad Keller, Brock Hallett, Adrian Cottrell, Lisa Walker, Ryan Jones and Luke Dillon all adding plenty to the show!

With a host of up and coming young guns also putting their hand up this weekend, strong performances against a star-studded line-up will be on the agenda for the likes of Brayden Parr, Jordyn Charge, Terry Rankin, Carly Walsh and Jacob Dickson.

With the likes of 5 Time Knoxville 360 Nationals winner Terry McCarl set to return for the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic come January a number of teams will be looking to log some vital data as a part of this weekend’s program which will consist of time-trials, 2 rounds of heats and a C, B and A-Main.

McCarl’s return will again see him re-unite with Victorian based car-owner Ken Hutchins, with the pair having teamed together last January to record a 12th place finish in the Classic A-Main.

Hutchins will again prepare an immaculate USA24 Entry with support from Laiken Transport and Markscon.

It is anticipated that McCarl may again be joined at the Classic by son Austin who claimed a maiden Knoxville Raceway Track Championship in 2018, relegating Terry to second place in the process.

With $5,000.00 to the winner on Saturday night and vital points up for grabs in the $10,000 to win Parr Motorsports Track Premiership, this weekend promises to be a great start to the new season with thanks to Ace Radio 3YB FM and Coast FM.

Joining the Sprintcars as a part of the action on Saturday night will be the Junior Sedans with a strong field set to also contest one of their Blue-Ribbon events for the season – the Yeoman Williams Memorial.

Tickets and more information relating to this Saturday’s event can be found at www.premierspeedway.com.au with public gates set to open at 4.00pm on Saturday with cars on-track from 5.00pm.
