This Sunday Motorsport fans should head on down to Drouin Speedway off Jindivick Road Drouin West for the annual Crash and Bash start to the season attracting thirty cars in the main event supported by forty plus others including the Vintage cars from the Ace of Spades club and their 34 Fords and Chev Slopers.

Competing in the Crash and Bash race are the Victorian Champion William Leeson and title runner up Rob Bushell, they will be challenged by the likes of Steve Young who fans still remember for his last legendary win at Drouin, not to be out done by his father though is Jake Young the winningness driver of recent seasons.

There is sure to be plenty of biffing and barging from the likes of Dale Morrison, Russell Hill, Jason Judd, Brad Warren, Anthony Segond, Rob Disher, Grant Attewell, Nathan Taylor, Tim Cole and Jason McKendry, it is nigh on impossible to pick a winner pre event, there will be cars dinted, parts flying off cars, a loose wheel or two, you just have to be at Drouin this Sunday to see if for yourself.

In the Ace of Spades category fans love the looks of the fantastic days gone by racers, in particular Roger Brockway, Peter Quaife and Dennis Hocking have golden oldies that our older spectators can relate too, whilst our younger fans think they are hot rods!

In club racing Open Standard Saloons has attracted a strong early season field with Leigh Gooding up against all the local runners including Ole’ Johnny Watson whose surprise, surprise back at it again!

The Ladies have a few new competitors in amongst their entries with Amanda Bullard the most experienced of them and pre event favourite, some of our other classes are still attracting entrants however include Junior Standard Saloons, Sports Sedans and Unlimited Sedans.

Gates open from 8am. Racing starts at 11am.
Entry will cost $15 for an adult, aged and invalid Pensioner and Children 12 to 16yrs is $10 and Children under 12 years of age are free. A family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 to 16 will cost $40.
