IT’s a pretty simple maths equation and no matter how hard you try – 28 just won’t go into 1.
But that won’t stop the 28 drivers who are locked into The Pool Shop Group WA Sprintcar Championship from having a go at the Perth Motorplex this Saturday night.
The strongest field of sprintcars scene at the Motorplex this season will arrive on Saturday with all drives keen to take home the major championship trophy.
The WA title is only held once a year and it always attracts a quality field – and what a field it will be.
Two-time WA champion, Victorian Tim Van Ginneken, is going for the trifecta and despite the fact that he races in Perth on limited occasions, many pundits believe he will be a major podium threat.
But so too will multiple national champion Kerry Madsen who is jetting back from America for the title in his first WA appearance for the summer.
Add in Jamie Veal as the new hired gun in the ultra-professional Krikke Motorsport combo and all of a sudden the stakes have got a whole lot higher.
But wait…there’s more.
Another Victorian in Darren Mollenoyux is also making the trek West and hopes to make the long haul worth it.
Already there have been four different winners in the four rounds of the AHG Sprintcar Series this season – Shaun Bradford, Jason Pryde, James McFadden and Brad Maiolo – and given the depth of the field this weekend there is a big chance of another name being added to the list.
Nominations: Kerry Madsen, Jamie Veal, Rob Mould, AJ Nash, Andrew Priolo, Jason Kendrick, Daniel Harding, Jason Pryde, Ryan Lancaster, Troy Beckingham, Sean Zemunik, Tim Van Ginneken, Darren Mollenoyux, Ben Ellement, Jamie Oldfield, Darren Mewett, Shaun Bradford, Kaiden Manders, Bradley Maiolo, Scott Chatwin, James Inglis, Cory Hunter Carl Dowling, Adrian Haywood, Kye Scroop, Matthew Cross, Mitchell Wormall and Jamie Maiolo.
With so much talent in the field – the Perth Motorplex will be the place to be this Saturday night.
