Hot on the ‘Heels’ of the Ladies Standard Saloon Victorian title last Saturday night, Nyora Raceway turns on the dance floor lights again this Saturday night with another action packed night of race car tango when the Modified Sedans join the Standard Saloons and Mini Sprints as three major feature races on the program.

The Modified Sedan’s are travelling from Mildura, Bendigo, Hamilton, Geelong, Canberra and locally to compete for the Di Watson Memorial event which doubles up as the Ramsdale Wreckers Cup after a local competitor and businessman chipped in to help get the show on the calendar.

Expect all the young guns including Brock Atkins, Nick Hill, Nick Cockerill, Daniel Simpson, Kye Walters, and Matt Nelson to dish it up to the likes of Peter McCarthy, Mark Carlin, Russell Bent, Jake Drewett and Graham West. Its anybodies race and the way the track was set up last weekend, there is sure to be highline moves to keep the crowds on their feet.

For Mini Sprintcar fans the Geoff Moule Memorial has been a fantastic race for years, this year will see a new winner with no driver in the field a former winner of the event. Victorian Champion Brad Lowe heads the nominations, however coming off back to back victories is Darren Schnoor and he is the man to beat on Saturday night.

Local Speedway family the Miles family have the Standard Saloon final named after them this Saturday night with the drivers competing for the ‘Miles Cup’. It is a great field with the leading state point score competitor Jacob Vuillermin from the Rosedale Club entered to compete with some of the stronger drivers from around the state. Brad Hill (Nyora), Daniel Stewart, Craig Templeton, Cameron Dike (Drouin), Nick Chrystie, Scott Whittle, Shane Ardley (Nyora), Mark Miles and Jay Dickson amongst them, should make for a cracking race with a local winner far from out of the question.

Finally the visiting SDAV Hot Rods will hold the next instalment of their Thunder Down Under Series in their beautiful V8 powered machines based on a 34 Ford body with last week’s winner Stan Marco and recent other winners this season Jamie and Jason May also in the line up.

Closing out the huge night is the Junior Standard Saloons and the Sports Sedans.
