• This Saturday night at Redline Raceway on Mount Buninyong the action will be fierce in particular in three divisions with important features & well supported by local club classes, with a little bit of something for everybody, V8s, Quick Sixers & 1000cc pocket rockets.

The feature that local fans are looking forward to the most this weekend is the Open Sedan Masters where a mixture of V8 powered Sedans and Chassis Cars battle 6 Cylinder weapons to come out on top with bragging rights.

Locally you couldn’t look past Sean Lister for the win, however the field has attracted the Victorian Unlimited Sedan champion Scott Ellis & the battle is now on. Darren Nelson on his night can be sensational and is amongst the challengers to knock off the big two, along with Leigh Bourke in his Modified Falcon, organiser of the event Nathan Fawns who has yet to run this season, Aaron Bunton, Lucas Conder, Des Birkin in his Corvette, Craig Phillips a local club member, Matt Nelson a winner last weekend in his Commodore at Alexandra & Sam Williams.

We have support from Lister Automotive who is a real favourite to win the overall willing to give $200 to the first placed non chassis finisher, JP Automotive is donating awards for the Sportsman of the night & a hard luck award. Mick Hume from Hume Decorating is providing a voucher to the driver his crew picks as completing the drive of the night & IPTA Fibreglass will supply a voucher towards replacing damaged panels to the team that sustains the most damage on the night. We thank them all very much for getting onboard.”

Nominations in the AMCA Nationals who will later this season hold their Victorian title at Redline Raceway, include New South Wales competitors on the list. Competition will be sensational with Bill Lodwick, Jamie & Matt Mills, Paul Sullivan, Jamie Collins, Darren McCarthy, Tim Reidy & the man of the moment Dean Heseltine who has own feature after feature this season so far. The event is part of the Action Series and is round one of the Barry Reidy Memorial, always an important event on the AMCA Nationals calendar.

Grand Prix Midgets are steadily increasing their car counts on the back of great support from venues like Redline & this weekend they include last meetings winner Chris Fowler, current point’s leader Lisa Chalcraft, Victorian Champion Jason Crawford and the quickest car so far this season with Trevor Perry behind the wheel. The winner will certainly earn it this weekend as these little rockets blitz around the mount.

V8 Thunder Sedans, Standard Saloons & Street Stocks are the support divisions which should see ninety competitors hit the track on Saturday night.
