• Robbie Farr led every lap of the main event on Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway to take a convincing win in the third round of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship – NSW.

Farr started from pole and dominated the race to win ahead of a late, hard charging Max Johnston and an impressive Matt Dumesny who, in recent weeks, has stamped his authority as a real threat to win a main event.

The race was red flagged after just three laps when Toby Bellbowen rode out a wild flip on the main straight. After gingerly exiting the car, Toby spent the night in hospital but was released early on Sunday morning.

Once Farr set out in the lead and Matt Dumesny was in second, all eyes were on the battle for third with Ben Atkinson and James Thompson battling lap after lap. In the meantime, Max Johnston who fell back as low as ninth began his charge forward. Picking off cars one by one, Max found himself in third on lap 27 and closing rapidly on Matt Dumesny. On the last lap, Max passed Matt for second in what was a thrilling finish.

Fourth home was Ben Atkinson who had his best finish since January, fifth was Jackson Delamont, sixth was James Thompson, seventh was Grant Anderson, eighth was Marcus Dumesny after starting from position twenty-two, ninth was Matt Smith and tenth was Max Dumesny.

Eleventh home was Jordyn Brazier and he was followed home by Marty Perovich, Sam Walsh, Troy Little, Kyle Caunt, Mick Matchett, Daniel Sayre, Andrew Wright, Cameron Ware and Brandon Rawlings was the final finisher. Non finishers were Jeremy Cross, Shaun Dobson, Grant Tunks and Toby Bellbowen.

Earlier in the night, Robbie Farr set quick time in flight one with an 11.739 second lap and Matt Smith was quick time in flight two with an 11.585 second lap. James Thompson also set the exact same time of 11.585 and was placed second quick due to the fact that Smith set the time first.

Heat wins went to Max Johnston, Jackson Delamont, Ben Atkinson and Grant Anderson. Robbie Farr won Dash One and Grant Anderson was the victor in Dash Two.

The B-Mains were won by Max Dumesny and Marcus Dumesny.
