• Preparations are well underway for what promises to be arguably the biggest season in the history of the Premier Speedway Club, with the 2015-16 season set to consist of 15 nights of racing.

Amongst these 15 nights is the 44th Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, back-to-back nights of World Series Sprintcars, The Easter Trail, A Prelude to the Championship event, the Victorian Speedcar Championship and of course the 54th Lucas Oil Australian Sprintcar Championship.

Intertwined in all of these nights are the Formula 500 Jack Willsher Cup, the Neville Pike Cup and Yeoman Williams Memorial for Junior Sedans, a round of the Formula 500 Speedweek Series, the Super Rod Cup along with appearances from the Street Stocks, Late Models, Wingless Sprints and V8 Dirt Modifieds.

January in particular is very busy, with this proverbial ‘Month of Money’ including two $10,000 to Win World Series Sprintcars Speedweek rounds, the Classic, the Prelude to the Championship and the Australian Championship, which equates to nine nights of Sprintcar Racing in January.

Another notable change to the calendar is the opening night of the season, which will include the opening round of the Parr Motorsports Sprintcar Track Championship and a round of the Wingless Sprint Super Six Series on Saturday November 7, 2015, which will also be promoted as a Kids (11 and Under) Free Night!

The November 7 meeting is one of three race meetings as scheduled prior to Christmas, with another three nights of racing set to be conducted post the Australian Sprintcar Championship.

Behind the scenes the amazing volunteer work force at Premier Speedway are already busy readying the facility ahead of a massive season, with a number of projects already underway.

Going hand in hand with these improvements is the news that a majority of the Club’s fantastic sponsors are back on board with not only Lucas Oil continuing their support of the Classic but also the likes of Oval Express Magazine, The Lady Bay Resort, GJ Gardner Homes and KRE Race Engines already lending their support.

“To have the great people at Lucas Oil Products back on board for the 2015-16 season as Naming Rights Sponsors of the Classic and the Australian Sprintcar Championship is very exciting for us as a Club”, Premier Speedway General Manager David Mills said.

“Sungold Milk is about to enter their 11th year as venue Naming Rights Sponsors, having recently signed a contract extension with the Club. Our Classic supporting sponsors Oval Express Magazine, GJ Gardner Homes, The Lady Bay Resort and KRE Race Engines are all back on board. The $10,000.00 to win Parr Motorsports Sprintcar Track Championship will once again be up for grabs. We as a Club are very excited about what lays ahead of us for the 2015-16 season”, Mills added.

“We are hopeful of some more big announcements in the very near future and with some exciting sponsorship opportunities still available for the Classic weekend and the Australian Sprintcar Championship, the time is right to secure a chance to be a part of one of the great motorsport week’s in the country”, he concluded.

Seasonal memberships, seasons passes, grandstand and terrace seating renewals are now on offer and it is anticipated that on-line ticketing options will be available to the general public for all race meetings including the 44th Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic and the Lucas Oil Australian Sprintcar Championship in early October.
