• For so many years the names Dumesny and Tatnell have been a part of all the major Sprintcar events as held here in Australia. Whether that be vying for a World Series Sprintcars Championships, National Titles or the coveted silverware of the Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

With six Classic Titles between them and three apiece Max Dumesny and Brooke Tatnell are a part of the fabric of the Classic weekend.

Naturally Max is a fan favorite, with the cheers echoing from the towering turn four Mt. Max region each time the iconic number 5 rolls into victory lane! These cheers were never more prominent than at the conclusion of the 1992, 1994 and 2004 Classic’s when Max stood tall as the Champion.

Can Max make it number four in January when he and long time crew chief Darryl “Mouse” Green roll into Warrnambool? No doubt there will be a large contingent of fans who will hoping Valvoline, G.K.R Transport, Red Ed’s Sheds & PWR backed entry can improve just one spot on his 2014 second place finish behind Tim Kaeding.

Brooke Tatnell like Max has achieved more than most in this gruelling, demanding and intense sport. Like Dumesny he has achieved the ultimate success on multiple occasions with World Series Sprintcars as well as being a multi-time Australian Champion.

Brooke’s exploits in the United States are noteworthy as well, where he has been a forerunner for many of the young stars we see testing their skills against the Americans year in year out.

On the back of Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic success in 1995, 1999 and 2009 Brooke will again be teaming with the ultra professional Krikke Motorsport outfit as based in Bunbury Western Australia.

The team led by Brooke and Crew Chief Dylan Buswell will as always be right in the mix over the entire weekend, despite what the Classic can throw at them, all the while aiming to improve on last years 15th place finish.

For their 2015 campaign KMS and Tatnell will enjoy the support of Transport Equipment Hire, Valvoline, Cool Chassis, Barker Trailers, Haulmax Tyres, Glasurit Paint, Jost Wheel Products, Hella, Skwid Signs, Fuwa K Hitch, Maxwill Race Engines, Vortex Wings, PWR, Revolution, Cancer Council and Bunbury Toyota.

Joining Max and Brooke amongst the rapidly growing list of entries will be another Dumesny, as Max’s son and emerging star Matt will also be a part of the show.

Matt will be at the wheel of his Kevin Waters Towing, Fineline Fabrications, K.T.M, CR&D, Sheridan Road and Rail and Blackshaws backed V57 entry.

Another young gun out of Sydney in Jackson Delamont will also be back for another tilt at the Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic having endured a steep learning curve in 2014 that resulted in a 7th place finish in Sunday nights C-Main 2.

Delamont will be supported in his quest for Classic success by Mad Harry’s Steel Supplies and Vortex Wings.

The ultra professional outfit of G&W Racing featuring the hired gun Peter Lack will also be keen to put on a strong showing with event sponsors Lucas Oil on board in support along with GW Racing, Gordon Bourke Construction, Toowoomba Steering and Suspension, Apelt Floor and Keizer Wheels.

Another driver who is no stranger to being out on the road chasing all of the big shows right around the country is Gawler, South Australia based driver Ricky Maiolo.

Maiolo joins the latest batch of nominations for the January 23 to 25 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic having competed in 2014.

Maiolo always turns out an immaculate looking race car and again for 2015 he has the support of TRG Transport, Peter Kittle Collision Repair Centre, Oval Track Imports and Active Motor Wreckers.

A livewire pair of Western Australians will also make the trek East for the Classic with former Wingless Sprint National Champion Darryl Clayden and Lee Nash set for the haul across the Nullabor to join the Classic field.

Essentially teaming up as a two car team both drivers enjoy similar support with Wormall Civil, Australian Civil Haulage, Meager Contracting, Savage Surveying, Fuel Distributors of WA, Mayday Earthmoving, Clark Equipment, CTS Low Loaders and Scardifield Smash Repairs all on board.

Clayden and Nash will be joined in the Classic line up by ever green Victorian Ron Dalton who has quite simply been a part of the furniture when it comes to the Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

Dalton will be aboard his customary V44 entry and will be in familiar surrounds with fellow Victorian’s Dennis Jones and Jake Smith also preparing their inventory for the grueling Classic weekend.

Morwell based Jones is always super quick aboard his distinctive V17 entry with the support of DJE CNC Machining, The Weld Spot, Sandvik, Brad Penn Oil, Gatts Panel Works and John Signs.

Smith who resides only a stones throw from Sungold Stadium, was another to endure a tough weekend at the Classic in 2014 amidst the 118 car field and he too will be another looking for improvement.

Mepunga Grains, Dairy Tech, FM Maher and Goodyear will provide the backing for the Smith and his V72 team.

Teams intending on competing are urged to get their entries in at their earliest convenience to allow for the seeding of nights and pit allocation to take place as soon as possible.

The 43rd Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic as supported by Oval Express Magazine, GJ Gardner Homes, KRE Race Engines and the Lady Bay Resort Warrnambool will be held at Premier Speedway on January 23, 24 & 25, 2015.
