• After a lengthy break the Tolmer Speedway in Bordertown will roar back into life on Easter Friday (April 18) with a huge evening of entertainment featuring the return of the mighty Speedcars, Super Sedans, 360ci Sprintcars and the South Australian Limited Sportsman Title.

The main attraction on the night will be the opening round of the “Easter Triple Challenge” with 20 nominations being received with some of the best drivers in Australia set to converge on Bordertown. Headlining the current entry list are current Speedcar Pro Series Champion Dayne Kingshott (WA) and multiple Speedcar Super Series Champion Mark Brown. But these two stars of the sport won’t have it all their own way as the field will also include the likes of former Australian Championship runner-up Adam Wallis (NSW), Anthony Chaffey (QLD), Todd Waddell (WA), Jamie Matherson (WA), Robbie Gordon (Vic), Troy Jordan (Vic) and a whole host of local South Australians.

The V8 Super Sedans will also be contesting the first of three consecutive nights of action with the line-up boasting some immense talent including current Australian Champion Matt Pascoe (QLD), former three times Australian Champion Mick Nicola (Vic), current South Australian Champion Dave Gartner and Kodee Brown from Broome in Western Australia. The field will also include several other interstate drivers along with a handful of South Australia’s best.

Following the open Sprintcar event in December the 360ci Sprintcars will get their chance on the Tolmer high banks with a small but competitive field set to take to race track. Local Bordertown resident and regular World Series Sprintcars competitor Dylan Jenkin will make his debut in the 360ci class joining Shannon Barry, who was on the podium last weekend at the Ross Wright Memorial, Mount Gambier’s Rory Button, Dan Evans, Chris Evans and Scott Enderl in what should be an entertaining battle on the tight 360 metre venue.

Finally the event will be rounded out by the South Australian Sportsman Championship with a dozen drivers nominated including defending Champion Joe Ashton with the Formula 500 “Battle of the Border” and the classic Super Modifieds also providing support to what should be a great way to start the Easter Weekend.

Racing will kick off at the special time of 3pm in the afternoon.
