• Long time Super Sedan competitor, Kemble Aylett has planned a big 2019/2020 season, which will see him compete not only in the West Australian Super Sedan Summer Series, but also in Tasmania and South Australia, where he will contest the National Title.

With the Super Sedan Summer Series opener less than a month away, Aylett has been busy preparing two cars in readiness for the season ahead.

Aylett has had the engine freshened up during the off season, in readiness for a big campaign commencing at Narrogin on Saturday, 2 November 2019. He will also compete in the second round at Manjimup on Saturday, 30 November 2019, which will be a big night, as it marks the clubs 50th Anniversary.

Aylett will have the car freighted over to the East Coast prior to Christmas meaning he will miss the third and fourth rounds of the domestic series, as he prepares for some of the richest events in the Country, being the 45th running of the Super Sedan Grand Prix at the Gulf Western and Independent Raceway in Latrobe, Aylett’s home track, prior to moving to Western Australia.

Less than a week later at the Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway, a lucrative event will be held on the Thursday night, before Aylett will contest the Super Sedan Grand National, at the Solo Hobart Speedway.

Last season, Aylett also made the trip, but mechanical issues plagued his campaign.

“I am looking forward to going back, we had issues with the car last year, but we also had the third quickest time of the entire weekend at Latrobe, so it is worthwhile going back for another crack”, he said.

Aylett will leave the car on the East Coast after the Tasmanian events and will compete in the fifth round of the State Series in the spare car, last year driven by his Son, Lee. The fifth round will see the Super Sedans run as the major support to World Series Sprintcars at the Bunbury Speedway, which has always produced spectacular racing from the Super Sedans.

A week later, Manjimup will host round six, before Aylett travels to Borderline Speedway to contest the National Super Sedan Title, before heading home to contest one of the richest Super Sedan races in the State at Mt Barker.

At Easter, Aylett will head to Albany for the State Title and Bert Vosbergen Memorial before a well earned three week break ahead of the final round of the State Series in Moora at the beginning of May.
If all goes according to plan, Aylett will compete across fifteen nights of competition, making for a busy schedule.

Aylett would like to thank his sponsors, Melcarlee Transport 9 and Sledge Hammer Engines for their support. If you would like to get on board and support Aylett, there is still plenty of room on the car to promote you business around Australia. Kemble can be contacted on 0450 045 289.
