  • Former four-time Australian 360ci Champion Ryan Jones will attempt to add another Championship to his list as he contests the inaugural Australian Prosprints Title this Friday and Saturday night at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway. Jones will be among the favourites going into the event and he enters the weekend as the defending Australia #2 after finishing second to Matt Egel on both nights in last year’s Title.

    “The old “Heavy Chevy” hasn’t been used since the title last year. It was up on the mezzanine with a lot of other parts and stuff in front of it. We had a bit of work to do. We had to get it down, dust it off and put it the car. Our engine is a well down on power due to the recent engine developments but Darryl (Wright) wanted to give the Title a go so we will give it a go and see what happens” added Ryan recently.

    For Jones this weekend will provide a great opportunity to bounce back from what has been a tough season at his home track with a season best runner-up position in the Battle of the Bridge way back in October and since then he has finished fifth during Speedweek, sixth at a Club Show and he has also recorded two DNF’s with a crash and an engine failure.

    The 2023 Australian Prosprints Championship will be conducted at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway between March 23 – 25, 2023 with the entry list now standing at 28 drivers from six Australian states.
