• The Premier Speedway Club, Warrnambool is please to confirm that they will again partner with Performance Racegear as a major supporting partner of the 2020 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The Classic, which will be held from Friday January 24 through to Sunday January 26, 2020 as always promises to be one of the Jewels in the Australian Speedway landscape.

Premier Speedway’s General Manager David Mills was excited to announce the extension of the partnership with Performance Racegear.

“We are thrilled to have Mike and Cheryl Nairn from Performance Racegear on board as one of our major supporting sponsors of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic”, Mills said.

“Mike and Cheryl first came on board with us for the 2018 Classic, and we are hopeful that we can continue to work with and partner them, as we look as far ahead as the 50th Anniversary Classic which is rapidly approaching in 2022

“Mike has been able to assist our highly regarded Safety Crew with some equipment in recent time, including the roll out of vastly improved Fire Suits for all of our valued crash crew members earlier this season, so to have him on board as a major part of our Classic weekend again next season is something we are very excited about”, Mills added.

Performance Racegear’s co-founder Mike Nairn was also upbeat about the newly formed partnership.

“From a business perspective, it made perfect sense for Performance Racegear to be located here in Victoria, putting us in what is a proverbial hot bed for Speedway Racing. I have been fortunate to have travelled the world whether it be working in Rally or F1 and the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic stacks up as an event and is a perfect fit for our Business”, Nairn said.

“We will have our fully equipped trailer at not only the Classic but a number of events around the State, providing our customers, both new and existing, with the best possible service we can provide. Cheryl and myself are very excited with the opportunity we have to work with not only Premier Speedway but also the broader Speedway community”, he added.

Performance Racegear was founded in June 2013 by Mike Nairn and Business partner Peter Rullo based in Perth WA to bring the best in world leading Motorsport brands to Australia, they travel interstate regularly to various meetings to visit their growing customer base and visit expos globally to bring back the best in Motorsport Apparel to Australia.

The Business and Mike Nairn relocated to Koroit Victoria in May 2017 to give a better access to more customers and to many Melbourne based teams plus putting us in the heart of Speedway country.

Performance Racegear have been chosen by European Suppliers as Australian Importers for P1 Advanced Racewear, Schroth Frontal Head Restraints and Harnesses, OMP, and are Super stockists of Arai helmets.

Performance Racegear joins the Lady Bay Resort and KRE Race Engines as returning supporters of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic which will be held from Friday January 24 through to Sunday January 26, 2020.
