Once again the 2022/23 Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series has set about rejigging series race dates to ensure racers, fans and series partners get to enjoy a majority of the 20th Anniversary series with Eureka Garages and Sheds as naming rights partner.

Barring any further delays and cancelled rounds, 11 of the 12 possible rounds have been pencilled in and the series is only days away from kicking off at Wangaratta.

“It’s impossible to be able to make these series changes without venues such as Avalon Raceway who have stepped in and allowed the series to confirm two dates that were previously washed out,” said Sprintcar Racing Association President Ian Vale.

Avalon Raceway have installed December 10 and January 14 as now rounds of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series in addition to the other nine rounds that remain unaffected at this point.

It’s worth noting that Dave Roberts and his team at Heartland Raceway, Moama were already preparing to conduct the December 10 round however the Moama region has been dealt much of the weather forcing their cancellation too!

Once again it emphasises the fact of how good the venues have been to help negotiate suitable dates as replacements for those lost earlier this season.

“It’s very important to the SRA that we can offer the drivers and their teams plus our great series partners the chance to compete for the vast majority of the possible twelve rounds originally scheduled,” said Ian.

“Providing the series doesn’t lose another round the opening round in early November at Warrnambool will be the only loss which considering how unprecedented the weather has been is a great result.”
