• Californian Carson Macedo, 26, will make six appearances at Eastern Creek Speedway this season commencing on Saturday December 3.
He will again link with Singleton (NSW) car owner Sean Dyson running the Complete Parts & Equipment Solutions Midget and Sprintcar team entries.
He also has four commitments (December 10, January 11, 13 and 14) at Brisbane's Archerfield Speedway in a busy east coast campaign between the two tracks at season high time.
Macedo has been a regular visitor to Australia since 2015 when he linked with Dyson Motorsport while he raced at ECS during the venue's limited 2021-2022 season.
In addition to his early December ECS 2022-23 season debut, Macedo is booked for Sydney appearances on December 30, January 1, 4, 6 and 7.
“Carson is a class act and we're delighted to have him back with us at our Eastern Creek and Archerfield tracks,” ECS Speedway Promotions co-promoter John Kelly said.
“One again he is well in contention and is enjoying a very successful American season with the Word of Outlaws.”
Macedo recently earned his twenty-third podium result of the 2022 season with a third place finish in the Gold Cup Race of Champions final at Chico's Silver Dollar Speedway in California. This podium followed up Macedo's preliminary feature win day earlier.
He currently sits in third position in the WoO point standings, 98 points adrift of championship leader Brad Sweet. With 11 main event wins, 31 runner-up results and 45 top ten placings overall, Macedo is the most successful and most prolific feature race winner of the WoO season.
With 12 fixtures remaining on the trail, Macedo is poised to make an all-out assault on the championship driving the Jason Johnson Racing, Albaugh #41 entry.
Carson has enjoyed considerable success in Australian Midget racing with victories in the division's two premier events, the National Championship and the Australian Grand Prix, running under the Dyson Racing Team banner.
The first meeting of the Eastern Creek Speedway 2022-2023 season commences Saturday night, September 24 featuring Sprintcars, Midgets and Lightning Sprints.
Tickets are on sale for the season opener at the ECS website: www.easterncreekspeedway.com.au/events.htm
The full season calendar is also on the ECS website.
