• Barry Rose returned to form, winning the Feature Race at the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway on Saturday night, as part of the Speedway Sedans Australia, National Junior Sedan Title program.

Rose would start on the front row for the fifteen lap A Main, after recording a win and two second placings in the three qualifying heats. Rose would be joined by Production Sedan Sizzle winner, Rick Musarra on the opening row, while Wayne Leviston and former Junior Sedan driver, Nathan Carter on row two.

After a good early battle with Musarra, Rose would then have to contend with Carter, who passed Musarra on lap six. In an exciting battle, Rose was able to hold off Carter, despite the youngster trying valiantly to make a pass.

In the end, Rose was able to hold on and lead all the way, with Carter a car length behind in second place, while Leviston finished third.

It was the fifth Feature win of the season for Rose, his 67th of his career.

Racing continues later tonight, with support of the National Junior Sedan Title. Rose, who is battling the flu, will not be competing.
