  • The Argonaut Engineering & Construction Nickol Bay Speedway roars into life tomorrow night, with the Annual New Years Eve race meeting.

    The event, which is effectively out of season for the Nickol Bay Speedway, will feature Street Stock with a small yet handy field entered, with Clint Marks ready to put his car through its paces, in the lead up to the West Australian Title, to be held at Manjimup in less than a months time.

    Marks, 34, from Karratha, will be looking to do as much racing as he can this season, commencing tomorrow night, before making the long trip to Manjimup (1741km). Driving the ex Hayden Norman Falcon, Marks will take on Stevie O’Dowd and Colm O’Riordan from Karratha, while Brayden Sims and Alan Veldkamp will travel almost 2000km to compete from South Hedland, while David Townsend, formerly from Collie will travel the relatively short distance of 550km to compete.

    "Really looking forward to getting on track and then heading down to Manjimup for the WA Title", said Marks.

    The night will finish with a massive fireworks display.
