• The 2020 South West Conveyancing field continues to grow as two highly talented and experienced drivers return to Sungold Stadium for the Classic having both sat out the 2019 edition of the event.

Also returning as an official event partner of the Classic is KRE Race Engines, with Ken and Wendy McNamara extending their agreement with Premier Speedway and the Classic yet again.

In 2018 Tasmanian Native Shaun Dobson piloted the Essendon Ford, Dickson Motorsport V3 for Geelong based car owner David Dickson. The Classic proved successful for the team with Dobson recording a pair of sixth place finishes.

The first came on his Friday qualifying night, which saw Brooke Tatnell eventually stand atop the podium, flanked by Kerry Madsen (2nd) and Luke Dillon (3rd).

The second was on the Sunday night, with Dobson producing a grand drive to finish sixth out of the 107 entries that took part in the 2018 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, that eventually saw Corey McCullagh stand atop the victory dais.

Now having returned to the Dobson Motorsport VA21 Cool, Dobson has already found victory lane this season, taking the win at Solo Hobart Speedway on November 23, showing he has settled back into the groove quickly ahead of the launch of his Mainland racing campaign.

For the 2020 Classic, Dobson will pilot a KRE powered Cool Chassis, with the support of WK Quantum Quartz, Albert Road Store, DSE Daniel Sutcliffe Earthmoving, Joinery Supplies Tasmania, Cool Chassis, KRE Race Engines, Vortex Racing Products, Bell Helmets, Revolution Racegear, Borne Apparel and Thomo’s Race Graphix.

Kalgoorlie’s Taylor Milling is another popular driver to have missed the 2019 Classic and the former World Series Sprintcars contracted driver will be another keen to put up a strong performance at the 2020 Classic.

Milling’s last Classic appearance yielded an 18th place finish in Friday’s B-Main.

In 2020 the W25 Totally Workwear Midland and Westralian Diamond Drillers, KRE powered Maxim will be looking for a strong run leading into Sunday’s final night of Classic competition.

Premier Speedway General Manager David Mills was excited to have Dobson, Milling and KRE back on board.

“Dobbo and Taylor are two very welcome additions to the Classic line-up which is slowly but surely starting to take some shape, while to again have the support of Ken, Wendy and the entire KRE team is just brilliant”, Mills said.

All race fans are reminded that on-line ticket sales for not only the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic but every meeting of the 2019-20 season at Sungold Stadium commenced on October 21.

The 2020 48th edition of the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic will be supported by the following sponsors; Performance Racegear, KRE Race Engines, GJ Gardner Homes, The Lady Bay Resort and KFC.

Copies of the 2020 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic entry form have been forwarded to the 2019 entrants while a PDF version is available for download from the Premier Speedway website www.premierspeedway.com.au
