• The 2016 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Champion, Jamie Veal, is among an impressive batch of Classic entrants that also consists of Marcus and Matt Dumesny ahead of the 48th running of the Classic from January 24 to 26.

Veal’s victory in 2016 was one for the ages, while he also lays claim to two Classic preliminary feature race wins, the first coming in 2014 at the very first three-night Classic, while the second was also in 2016.

In 2019, Veal returned to the podium, finishing second behind Robbie Farr, in his first Classic A-Main appearance since his victory in 2016. Both 2017 and 2018 yielded B-Main appearances for the Premier Speedway track specialist, with transfers only just alluding him on both occasions.

Having commenced his 2019-20 season during August in Darwin, Veal has been again at the top of his game this summer thus far, with upcoming races in New Zealand again set to keep him at the top of his game.

For the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, Veal will again campaign his tried and trusted SWI Racing Maxim Chassis, Rider Racing Engines combination as he goes in search of a second Classic win.

The Dumesny name has been steeped in tradition at the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic for almost as-long-as the event has been a staple on the Australian Sprintcar Racing calendar.

The Legendary Max Dumesny is a three-time Classic Champion (1992, 94 and 2004), with many more (14 in total) podium finishes upon his long and illustrious resume, therefore it is little wonder that both Matt and Marcus have become regular entrants at the Classic.

In 2020 Matt will be at the wheel of the N57 Maxim, with support from Valvoline, KTM, GKR Transport, Blackshaws and PASS Powdercoating as he endeavors to improve on his 19th place result in the first of two B-Mains at the 2019 edition of the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

Marcus, who has enjoyed some serious seat time over the last few months, including a visit to the 2019 Knoxville Nationals, which saw him contest the C-Main on the final night of competition, will be another looking to lock in an A-Main start come January 26, 2020.

Having formed a strong combination with South Australian Wayne Rowett, Marcus has run at multiple venues this season with some very strong results.

The team will hit the Classic with the support of Valvoline, Rowett Motorsport, GKR Transport, PWR Performance Products and Red Ed’s Sheds, as they to look to propel the N47 Maxim into the field of 24 for the 40-lap A-Main.

All race fans are reminded that on-line ticket sales for not only the 2020 South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic but every meeting of the 2019-20 season at Sungold Stadium commenced on October 21.

The 2020 48th edition of the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic will be supported by the following sponsors; Performance Racegear, KRE Race Engines, GJ Gardner Homes, The Lady Bay Resort and KFC.

Copies of the 2020 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic entry form have been forwarded to the 2019 entrants while a PDF version is available for download from the Premier Speedway website www.premierspeedway.com.au
