• West Australian Super Sedan driver Gary Higgs, will this season embark on arguably his biggest season yet, which will see Higgs traverse the Country, competing in five states.

Not only will Higgs compete in five States, he will contest the Queensland, South Australian, Victorian and West Australian Titles, along with the National Title as part of his campaign, which will stretch to twenty one nights of competition.

Starting on Saturday, 30 November 2019, Higgs will start with the Queensland swing of the schedule, contesting the Super Sedan Series round at Archerfield, followed by a visit to the Kingaroy Showgrounds for the Queensland Title. Higgs will then contest the Summer Slam, which will see two nights at the uniquely shaped Mothar Mountain Speedway in Gympie, before finishing back at Archerfield on Saturday, 28 December 2019.

The team will then venture down the East Coast to contest the lucrative events on the Apple Isle, commencing with the 45th Annual Super Sedan Grand Prix at the Gulf Western and Independent Oils Raceway. Higgs has never raced in Tasmania before, something the team are looking forward to. After contesting the midweek event at the Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway, Higgs will finish the Tasmanian part of the schedule in Hobart, contesting the 48th running of the Super Sedan Grand National.

Higgs will then return to Western Australia and will compete in Round Five of the Super Sedans Summer Series, at the Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway, which will be the major support category to the World Series Sprintcars.

The South Australian swing will then follow, starting with the South Australian Super Sedan Title, which will be held at Borderline Speedway, Mt Gambier, which will also host the National Title two weeks later. Higgs has raced at Mt Gambier several times, with his best result being fourth in the National Title held at the venue in 1999.

All going well, the team will then head across the border to contest the Victorian Title at the Western Speedway in Hamilton, before heading back across the abor to contest the biggest events in Western Australia.

The Mt Barker Super Sedan Classic is one of the richest races in Western Australia and will be held the week before the West Australian Title, to be held at Albany’s Attwell Park on the Saturday night. The following night, also in Albany, the inaugural Bert Vosbergen Memorial race will be held. Higgs has been trying to win the WA State Title for more than two decades after first placing in the event in 1995. Having finished on the podium nine times, Higgs has been the runner-up on five occasions, including in the last two events.

The team will then head back to Queensland to finish off where they started, racing in the GP53 at Archerfield in mid May 2020.
The schedule will undoubtedly make Higgs one of the most travelled competitors in any category this season.
