• The clock is ticking and the new Victorian Street Stock Series (VSSS) is fast approaching with a November kick off seeming like it is just a few sleeps away and for business owners a last chance opportunity to be involved is available.

    Having already dabbled in running a speedway series previously, Justin Hampton is at it again with his beloved Street Stock category, a class he just loves to sit back and enjoy watching what he calls the best bang for buck action class a spectator can watch, it is hard to disagree with him when you recall all the great action we see week in and week out.

    With this in mind and for one reason or another maybe there are some businesses out there that want to get involved. To have your name associated with a class that hardcore fans travel around to see, might be just the feel good or good will opportunity you wish to be a part of.

    The VSSS is open to offers for;
    Series Naming Rights sponsorship
    Premium Package Sponsorship
    Round Sponsorship
    Contingency Prize Support

    Contrary to any misunderstanding, the series is not the ‘Mental Racewear’ VSSS although Hampton is grateful to Judy and Sarah Lock of Mental Racewear for their kind financial support of the series. “Judy and Sarah love Street Stock racing just as much as thousands of other people Dean. I am very lucky to have them support my ideas and I thank them once again for supporting this one. They have contributed substantially to the series and are keen to share exposure with other interested businesses come onboard.” Shared Justin.

    Exposure for sponsors comes via social media and a number of supportive motorsport sites who will share our news, it will come from video footage that is shared and from commentary live at race events where announcers talk about those supporting the series in between the racing taking place.

    Justin can tailor a package to suit your offer of support, all you need to do is let him know what you want to contribute and what you seek out of being involved and let him put a plan of action in place for you that you agree with.

    Competitor Eugene Bennett of the South East of Victoria is keen to get in amongst the action and he had a word with media to share his thoughts. “The Victorian Street Stock Series is a good thing for Victoria to have our own series just as the South Australians do with MJS is terrific. I have my boy racing Victorian Junior Speedway, plus I am a businessman, so my commitment needs to be small and precise to what I can do with my own racing and knowing, I have five race meetings and an opportunity to improve against the best competition suits me fine.”

    Bennett emphasised that he just can’t compete all season, every weekend for various reasons and knowing what dates and venues you have to run and that you only have to run a few times is perfect. “If all goes well, I intend to run all five events of the series and giving it a good crack for a top ten finish. A podium or two would be terrific. The thing I love most about Stockie racing is how close and competitive it is. The smallest of errors can see half the field whizz past you. Then off the track everybody is willing to help you with your car when it is broken or having issues. Generally, all round they are a good bunch of people.” Bennett also shared.

    The series takes in Swan Hill, Wangaratta, Rushworth, Nyora and Alexandra Speedway clubs this season and for you a sponsor and a fan, this gives you some great weekends away from home to go off and enjoy the best that Sedan racing can offer.
