• Kaiden Manders and the #60 J&S Drilling Sprintcar team turned on a very competitive performance during the World Series Sprintcars round at the Albany Speedway last Saturday.
Running against the strongest field of the entire season, Manders clocked a 13.436 second lap in the Time Trial.
This was the 11th best time in the 23 car field.
He maintained third spot during his first heat race, but a problem with his ear-piece meant he failed to go to the scales and he was disqualified.
Manders kept out in front throughout his next heat race.
He started way back in position 16 in the 20 strong field for the 35-lap Main Event.
Manders used his head and began working his way through the field - crossing the line in sixth position.
It was a great result - and he was only the second Western Australian across the line.
This weekend sees the Grand Final rounds of the World Series Sprintcars competition take place at the Perth Motorplex on Friday and Saturday.
After the meeting Manders had this to say:-

"Overall it was a good night for us. I missed my marks in time trial but we still ended up just outside the top 10. Then we had a good run in the first heat but my one way communicator stopped working during the race. So I missed the scales after the race and we lost all our points for that heat. This meant we started down the back of the final. However we still had a great race and managed to pass some good cars to finish 6th."

The J&S Drilling W60 team wish to acknowledge the support of their loyal sponsors who enable us to keep on racing.
