• With the South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic now less than two months away, the Big Shows at Premier Speedway keep coming with Max’s Race, multiple rounds of World Series Sprintcars and the Victorian Speedcar Title sure to keep everyone on their toes!

With a number of drivers set to use Max’s Race as a major shakedown before World Series and the Classic, some big names are expected to be a part of the action on December 15.

With the team at Chittick’s Bakery right behind Max’s race for the next three years, the battle is sure to be on in earnest for the $5,000 pay day.

From there it is not one, but two rounds of Queensland Speedway Spares (QSS)World Series Sprintcars as Southern Hydraulics and Rubber present Round 3 of the famed Speedweek Tournament on Saturday December 29, before long time event partners Fresha present our traditional New Years Day (January 1) spectacular to complete the grueling Speedweek component of the series.

For the 2018-19, World Series Sprintcars has contracted ten drivers to view for the Crown with many more big names expected to tackle the Speedweek portion as well as other individual rounds across the country.

The ten contracted drivers are; W2 Kerry Madsen, NT9 Danny Porter, W14 Jason Pryde, W17 James McFadden, S20 Glen Sutherland, Q23 Lockie McHugh, V25 Jack Lee, V40 Rusty Hickman, V42 Jye O’Keeffe and W97 Mitch Wormall.

Only a few days later the Speedcar Victorian Title along with a Round of the Wingless Sprint Summer Slam Series which is sure to attract a huge field of cars ahead of their National Title in February. The Formula 500’s will also be on the program.

That will lead all and sundry to the 47th South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic with the latest two entries having arrived in the past couple of days.

The Gambier Earth Movers backed SA20 of Glen Sutherland will return to the Classic having made the final 24 car field for the Classic A-Main in 2018.

With a plethora of laps around Sungold Stadium a good qualifying run will be the key for Mt. Gambier’s Sutherland who will be looking to improve again on his 24th place finish from last January.

Joining Sutherland in the field is the young Tasmanian Jock Goodyer, who has already shown he isn’t afraid to stand on the gas and mix it with the Country’s best.

With some top-notch equipment at his disposal and a hard-working team, Goodyer will return to Warrnambool having gained lots more valuable seat time since he finished 9th in C-Main 2 at the Classic in January.

For the trip across Bass Strait, Goodyer will fly the Tassie Flag with pride for his team and their loyal band of supporters including DB Goodyer Developments, Powaranna Plant Hire, Tazwood Designs RSK Concrete Pump Hire and D&D Goodyer Electrical.

Race Fans are reminded that tickets for all of the remaining shows at Premier Speedway for the 2018-19 season are available for pre-purchase via www.premierspeedway.com.au or they can be purchased from gate opening time at the track on Race Nights.
