• Borderline Speedway, Mt Gambier will host the 2017/2018 Super Sedan Title re-run this Saturday night, after the event last season was washed out.

In an unusual situation, organisers decided that the Title would be completed and it is the first time in nine seasons since the Title has not been held at Murray Bridge.

The defending Champion is Dave Gartner, a five times winner, and has won the last three, and should he win on Saturday night, he will be just the fourth driver in Super Sedan history to win four successive Titles, with Darren Kane, Peter Logue and John Pyne being the others.

Gartner will have a very tough job holding the crown, with Ryan Alexander in ominous form at the 50th Anniversary event at the same venue a fortnight ago. Alexander is yet to win a South Australian title, but has been on the podium in the last three Titles, and is one of the main dangers to Gartner.

The field has a strong Victorian presence, with five times Victorian Champion, Lucas Roberts, multiple State and National Champion Mick Nicola and three times Victorian Champion Peter Nicola all entered.

Sam Roza from Queensland, who finished second in the Victorian Series Round, last Saturday night, is also entered, ensuring fans will witness some great racing, along with South Australian, Kym Jury who won a Feature race at Murray Bridge earlier this month.

    Racing commences at 6.00pm CDST.
