This Saturday night at Nyora Raceway motorsport fans will see over ninety entrants compete in a variety of classes that include open wheel, Sedan, Ladies and Junior classes with the visiting Wingless Sprints competing for association points and the Ladies of the Dirt series and Compact Speedcars competing in the President’s Cup and SDAV Hot Rods for association points the headline classes.

Wingless Sprintcars supported this weekend by ML Automotive come in strong numbers and this weekend is no different with more than twenty in the main event including regular front runners Brad Foster, Michael Skene, Scott Irons, Todd Hobson and Luke Schneider. There are a number of competitors down the list that are potentially going to figure well on Saturday night, it’s tough to pick a winner.

In the Ladies Wingless Sprints Ladies of the Dirt series Carly Walsh is entered and is hard to look past, however Renae Eastham has been mixing it up with the boys through Gippsland this season and she is ready to take on this series. Add in Samantha Miller, Bree Hall and Speedway Kart Queen Rachel Cooper and it should be a great battle for the girls.

Everybody loves a V8 machine and this weekend’s V8’s come in the form of the SDAV Hot Rod Club with their 34 Ford body designs and mostly 350 Chev race engines. The top five drivers from the recent Victorian title are all entered with Maryknoll’s Dean West the new Victoria 2 driver looking to win in his zone, with Victorian champion Michael Coad, Shannon Meakins a former Victorian Champion and the legendary Stan Marco Snr all in the line up.

A good field of Compact Speedcars will chase association points with some of the top drivers including Justin Paull, Butch and Mark Hutchinson, Chris Curren, Louie Rodriguez, Keith Astrella and a visitor from NSW Auden Elliott. Looking up and down the nomination list there are a few other drivers who just might take a win this Saturday night, it’s a tough field to pick.

Sports Sedans have attracted a few of the stronger drivers in the state such as Jamie Paull, Nathan Fawns & Lucas Conder in what should be a great little battle, the SSA and the VSC Junior fields are competitive with Zoe Young and Logan Mair in the SSA and Rhys Lansdown and Lewis Williams in the VSC just a couple of the youngsters to keep an eye on.

Finally the Standard Saloon fields Mark Miles, Stephen Douglas, Justin Hutchins, Marcus Reddecliffe and even Shane Belk from the land of Late Model Sedans getting in amongst things whilst in the Ladies Standard Saloons Tracey Ingram, Tegan Bullard, Amanda Bullard, Allan Ardley, Hayley Hutchins and Courtney Sherry will entertain with some close racing throughout the night.

Racing starts from 5pm on Saturday evening costing $20 for an adult, Kids 12 to 16 are $10 each whilst all other children are free, Pensioners are $10 & a Family ticket is $50 for 2 adults and three 12 – 16 kids & others less than 12 in age.
