• The 2017/18 Ultimate Sprintcar Championship South Australia (USC SA) will come to a dramatic end this Saturday night at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway as local resident Ryan Jones will attempt to steal the series victory away from Robbie Farr. Farr currently holds the upper hand as he holds an 18-point lead over Jones and he enters the event full confidence having won three USC rounds at MMS this year along with wrapping up his second consecutive USC NSW crown at the Valvoline Raceway last weekend.

But Jones himself also has three main event wins at the 360 metre MMS bullring this season including two of the majors, the Battle of the Bridge and the Ross Wright Memorial, in addition to the Club Show feature win last Saturday night.

Loxton’s Keke Falland currently sits fourth in points but with Luke Dillon (third) not contesting the final, Keke will have a lot to race for as he attempts to keep Matt Egel at bay for the final step on the overall series podium.

After missing the last USC SA round due to a team illness Egel has already dropped a round so he will be racing hard to get maximum points in the Grand Final. Egel finished second to Jones on April 7 and you can be assured that Egel would love to add an MMS feature race win to his 2017/18 season stats.

Other drivers currently inside the Top 10 in points who are set to compete include Daniel Pestka, Jake Tranter and Steven Caruso. All three of these racers are capable of a feature race win.

Of the drivers outside the Top 10 who are capable of winning you would have to consider Brad Keller, who sits 13th in the standings due to missing rounds with his World Series Sprintcars commitments. He won’t have the points Championship on his mind, all he will be concerned with will be putting his #19 in Victory Lane.

Young Sydney based racer Jesse Attard is set to return once again and with the amount of racing he has done at Murray Bridge this season he could almost be considered a local. Throughout the season he has been a steady improver at the tight Murray Bridge venue and he will be keen to end his season on a high.

The USC SA Grand Final will be held at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway this Saturday night (April 14) along with the final of the MJS Street Stock Series with a field of close to 30 cars from across SA and Victoria nominated.
