Shepparton resident Felicity Roycroft will be competing in her first National Title, when she completes in the National Street Stock Title in less than a fortnights time, at Adelaide Motorsports Park.

The twenty five year old has competed in 20 race meetings and is just in her second season of competition, but has been involved or around Speedway most of her life.

Being my first ever title race, having such a huge field to compete with, it's just exciting to be part of such an amazing event, Roycroft said. She is also looking forward to a few drinks after the event!

Roycroft is a realist, and believes competing in the event will not only help her, but will assist with greater experience for future events. Truthfully, I would be stoked to be able to make a final. I am not going to win, the experience is enough for me! I would be stoked to make any of the finals!

Roycroft is not only competing in her first National Title it will be her first time at Adelaide Motorsports Park. I have only ever raced out side of Victoria once, that being at Kingaroy in the Queens Royal in a borrowed card, Roycroft added.

Roycroft has competed a couple of times this season in Street Stock, but has been competing locally in an Open Ladies category, where she has had some strong results.

At the Queens Royal at Kingaroy, a race where Street Stock and Production Sedans cars were used, Roycroft would finish twelfth, but would be the third Street Stock to finish.

Felicity Roycroft will not be the only Roycroft racing in the Title, with husband Shane also in the field, who Felicity believes is one of the hardest drivers to beat along with Brooke Ferguson.

The family will be leaving Victoria on Wednesday in their brand new bus, with the trip expected to take ten or eleven hours, another first, the first trip in the Bus!

Felicity will be driving a BA Ford Falcon in the title, with the car in its third season, having competed in approximately 25 events.

The car was built and paid for by her father, after he and Shane got sick of me wrecking Shanes car, she jokes.

Without these guys doing what they did I would not be where I am today. I am the current sports person of the year for Street Stock National. I do everything I can to help the ladies involved in the sport! The Queen of the Mountain was an amazing event and I was lucky to be involved in, helping grow the event to huge heights. I am helping run SSN, with the members awards night, and just helping get the name out there. I used to live at a speedway track so Speedway has been in my bloody even since I was a baby. Even our honey moon was a three month trip to America doing the best speedway events over there, Roycroft concludes.
