After a long absence, the Super Sedans return to Redline Raceway this Saturday night December 16th where they will compete in a series round for their state point score as a lead up to the Victorian title at the same venue later in the season, a stellar field has nominated for what will be a ‘super’ night of entertainment that includes the re-scheduled ‘Piston Cup’ for the Junior Sedan racers and a host of other racing.

Victorian Champion Peter Nicola will be challenged by the likes of Lucas Roberts, Dave Gartner the South Australian Champion, Ash Bergmeier, Brad Wicks, Mick Nicola Jnr and Paul Blenkiron with another half dozen racers keen to throw a cat amongst the pigeons. The V8 class is popular amongst the fans and is sure to excite on Saturday night.

Local Star Darcy Wilson leads entries in the Piston Cup for A grade ranked Junior Sedan racers however he is going to be up against Ricky Cornwall, Brad Gartner from South Australia, Ryan Harris and tough lady racer Kasey Garlick.

In B Grade Junior Sedan racing a number of the drivers have been improving and locally the interest is on Bella Rizzoli and Kasey Ferguson with Jack Secombe and Bailey Rumler two other local youngsters competing.

As usual the Street Stock field is stacked with stars, even though it is not a local feature event. Darren Giacometti the Queensland Champion from Ballarat will be up against, Mark Jennings from Mount Gambier, Brad McClure a multiple times national champion, Jason Degoldi, Anthony Beare the benchmark of the class, Mick Clark and a host of others that could find themselves swapping paint up the pointy end of the field.

The Grand Prix Midgets return with Victorian and Australian Champion Trevor Perry leading the nominations that includes super tough competition. Dennis Myers a legend of the class and Speedway in general is in the line up however so is Danny Stainer, a small car master when it comes to Speedway and with a car built by him and his father ready to test Perry on the track.

Throw in Chris Fowler, Lisa Chalcraft, Jason Crawford and Travis Florimell and racing is sure to be exciting this Saturday night for their series round.

With the national title for AMCA Nationals at Redline this season a important hit out for the division this weekend sees Victorian champion Jamie Collins up against very tough competition as drivers work out some set ups on the current and new shaped race track on the mount.

Dean Heseltine, Sharon Tindal, Frank Thierry, the Cullingers, Jeremy Moore from South Australia, Bill Lodwick, the Mills Boys, Darren McCarthy, Paul Sullivan and Keenan Casey head a long list of drivers that will be vying for a win and that’s still leaving people’s names out of the list that could challenge.

Finally for those that like to watch a few of the yesteryear type cars go around every now and then, the Vintage Hot Rods and Vintage Sedans are paying a visit and will have a few demonstration runs to give this announcer a little breather in between all the action.

Gates open at 2pm racing begins at 4.30pm, prices for this meeting are adults $25- Aged & Disabled Pensioner $20, kids 5 to 15 years of age al at $5 each, whilst under 6 years of age is free & a family of 2 adults and 3 kids at paying age, $60-. Contact for information 0418 399 917
