• For the second year in a row Robbie Farr has emerged victorious in the “The Ultimate Pink Night” at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway after surviving a late race charge from Matt Egel. With three laps remaining Egel surged to the front with a spectacular move in turn four only to throw the lead away a lap later handing the lead back to Farr and in the process, he edged into the lead of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship SA after two rounds.

“We have let a couple of wins slip through our fingers this year so to finally get our first of the season is a great reward for our team. We have had great car speed all year” added the race winner on the podium.

“The track tonight was really tricky. I had turn 1 and 2 worked out but 3 and 4 was a little sketchy and to his credit Matt got by me in turn 4 but the next time by he was really drove it in hard and was giving it a real crack and just over did it and I was able to sneak past on the bottom” he added.

Second placed Matt Egel, who http://www.capecodcommission.org/index.php?id=221 started from position 11, was rather dejected on the podium as he conceded he threw the win away.

Third place went to a hard charging Brad Keller, who was forced to transfer via the B-Main after being disqualified in heat six for failing to go to the scales after his heat win.

After leading the race for a majority of the 30-lap distance Ricky Maiolo would eventually finish fourth after the front wing posts collapsed. Due to Luke Dillon being sent back a row for jumping the start Maiolo was elevated to a front row start and took full advantage of it as he beat Farr to the opening turn and led the race convincingly and looked the likely winner, but it wasn’t to be as the front wing failure put pay to his chances.

Luke Dillon collected his second top 5 finish of the USC SA season as he finished fifth with opening round winner Ryan Jones, Brock Hallett, Todd Wigzell, Shannon Barry and New Zealander Brett Sullivan rounding out the top 10.

The feature race proved to be a tough race to finish with a number of the leading contenders finishing on the infield. Among them were Steven Lines, who hit the turn 1 wall while challenging for a podium result, Jake Tranter, who rolled heavily in turn 3, Matthew Dumesny, who broke the rear end and Daniel Pestka.

Earlier the heat winners were Dillon, Jones (2), Farr, Shannon Barry and Brendan Quinn while Keller, Pestka, Sam Putland and Sullivan transferred from the B-Main.

In addition to Tranter crashing hard in the A-Main, Shannon Barry, Aidan Hall and Lisa Walker also rolled during the heat races and B-Main while Brock Hallett hooked a rut in turn 3 and rolled in the Bronze Shootout.

The support program on careprost augentropfen the night included Formula 500’s, Late Models and V6 Sprints with Whyalla’s Angelo Karoussis defeating Brad Stell and Jarrod Moore in an entertaining Formula 500 feature while veteran Steve Agars led all 20 laps in the V6 Sprint finale.
