The 2017-2018 Speedcar Super Series nears with SSS Director (and now NSW Club President) Ken Jenkins surging ahead for another superb season of Speedcar racing!
Five rounds are scheduled for the 13th running of the SSS Championship, and Ken is proud to announce Diamond Air Conditioning will continue as naming rights sponsor of this Australian Speedcar competition.
Ken is thrilled to maintain his partnership with Diamond Air; a partnership which represents four consecutive years of SSS sponsorship.
“I sincerely thank Norm Jackson and Diamond Air Conditioning for the continued support and dedication to Speedcars and the Speedcar Super Series. Their involvement is truly inspiring and very much appreciated.”
The 2017-2018 Diamond Air Conditioning Speedcar Super Series crosses two states (New South Wales and South Australia) and will be held over five rounds starting in country NSW’s Gunnedah Speedway, followed by Valvoline Raceway, Borderline Speedway, Lismore Speedway and the Grand Finale at Valvoline Raceway.
“It was very important to secure dates and venues so teams could plan ahead. Our schedule is reasonably timed, drivers can regroup after each meeting, race local competition and maintain their position in the Championship.” Jenkins explained.
It will be one day off 12 years since the SSS was last held at Borderline Speedway where Adam Clarke won from Michael Pickens (NZ) and Steven Graham (7 Jan 2006).
“Returning to Mt Gambier is a great success. This should be a fantastic event featuring contracted drivers along with the support of both the South Australian Speedcar Association and the Victorian Speedcar Drivers Association.”
Please note: The Victorian Speedcar Championship will be held on the 7 Jan at Premier if drivers are keen on a double header!
