Ballarat and surrounding areas motorsport fans have Redline Raceway on top of Mount Buninyong to thank for action this weekend with another series round for the V8 powered AMCA Nationals category headlining a show that has the visiting Marsh Modified Sedans and all of the local heroes in club classes resuming battle.

Victorian Champion Jamie Collins leads the field in the AMCA Nationals with Jeremy Moore visiting from South Australia. Jamie & Matt Mills along with Paul Sullivan, Bill Lodwick and early season standout Dean Heseltine are all looking to stand atop the victory dais by the time the night is done.

Visiting Marsh Modified Sedans will run clockwise each and every race and double up after holding their Victorian title last weekend. Garry Kakoschke is the favourite on the entry list however expect Tim Knight and guest driver Aaron Bunton to give him the old hurry up.

Scott Whittle, Jay Dickson and Hayden Clifford look set to do battle in the Standard Saloons, Anthony Wilson returns to see if he has an answer to Tim McCubbin competing in Wilson’s last race car with a string of victories to his name in the V8 Thunder Sedans, Steven Hodder and Kieran Brennan Jnr add to the battle, it should be great racing in the Thunders.

Scott Secombe so close to victory in Street Stocks a month ago does not have to battle Shaun Henry this week who pipped him at the post last time; however he does have Queensland Champion Darren Giacometti, Scott & Mark Purdie and Chris Bohdal hungry for a win to compete with.

In Open Sedans the Unlimited Sedan champion Sean Lister is the most likely to march on to victory, however Nick Cockerill, Craig Phillips, Corey Knox and Tim Hutchinson should have a great race in the six cylinder cars amongst the field.

Gates open to the public on Saturday at 2pm with racing from 4.30pm & for the opening meeting of the season and prices for this meeting are adults $20- Aged & Disabled Pensioner $15, kids 6 to 16 years of age al at $5 each, whilst under 6 years of age is free & a family of 2 adults and 3 kids at paying age, $50-.
