• With a stout field of Sprintcars nominated for this Saturday nights Grand Final of the Eureka Sprintcar Series another Series Finale has also attracted an amazing list of entrants.

The Victorian Wingless Sprint Super Series as supported by The Tyre Factory, Warrnambool looks to be a battle in two for the Championship, but that hasn’t stopped 52 drivers from every part of the State as well as one or two interstate invaders from entering this Saturday’s Grand Final.

Simpson’s Luke Weel in the Heytesbury Stockfeeds back V28 entry has been the stand-out competitor all season long in the Super Series and currently enjoys a 154 point lead in the points standings from Dayn Bentvelzen who this season has performed admirably at the wheel of the Adrian Densley owned, Pro-Finish Concrete backed V32.

Popular racer Glenn Watts in V35 car as supported by Watts Excavations is another to have shown class throughout the season and currently appears to be battling the nicely turned out Mother Energy Drink backed S35 entry of Mt. Gambier’s Mitchell Broome has also been consistently good all summer.

Watts only enjoys a slender buffer of just 25 points in what essentially is a battle for third place, while back in fifth perennial hard charger Rhys Baxter, V81 Webber & Chivell, will also be eyeing off a strong finish to the Super Series at a venue he has traditionally been strong at.

The top in points is then rounded out by Daniel Storer (Castrol Edge V43), Travis Millar (Cooper Street Self Storage V2), the Salt Electrical V61 of Marcus Green, Carly Walsh (Essendon Ford V4) and the Moore Plant Hire S57 of Robert Heard.

The good news for all race fans is that every driver currently in the top ten in points for the Wingless Sprint Super Series will be in action at Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool which should result in some frenetic on-track action.

With public gates set to open at 4.00pm and cars on track at 5.00pm as well as an amazing support cast from the Wingless Sprints as more than 40 drivers and teams battle it out for a round of their Super Series, this is going to be a great night of Speedway action.

Tickets are available at the gate or on-line via www.premierspeedway.com.au.
