• After almost a month off the JD Couriers Super Sedan Series – Powered by Adelaide Computer Tax Service returns to competition with Round 8 this Friday night at Adelaide Motorsport Park. This will be the seventh consecutive round of the 2016/17 series to be held at the Virginia venue following the series opener at Murray Bridge way back on October 2, 2016.

Along with the official series naming rights sponsor Round 8 will be supported by Universal Metal Cleaners and Adelaide Motorsport Park.

Following his last start victory, and his first for the current season, defending series champion Michael Miller leads the nomination list but the competition will step up a notch this Friday with the return of Ryan Alexander. Having missed the previous two rounds due to his interstate racing commitments Alexander is currently undefeated this season in the JD Couriers Series having won the opening five rounds.

Currently Miller is the only other round winner as the main event at round 6 on Boxing Day was cancelled due to rain.

Joining Miller and Alexander is fellow Dominator pilot Paul BLenkiron, who has five podium results this season including two runner-up results. If his current form is anything to go by “Blenks” will be the next driver in victory lane and this Friday could be the night.

Daniel Obst will be another driver to watch as he is coming off his first career JD Series podium having finished third in fluroescent orange #2 Sweet at the previous round.

Whyalla’s Michael Brown will be back on the series for the first time since December with his team making a two-car attack on round 8 as Andy Maxwell Jr will pilot the team’s second car. It will be Maxwell’s official Super Sedan debut having raced a number of classes in the past including Wingless Sprints and Modlites.

The remaining entries include Kym Jury, who is coming off a busy schedule having competed in Tasmania recently and Quentin Thompson who will drive the Rob Stevens and Jenny Lemar #66.
