• Dual Australian and World Series Sprintcars Champion James McFadden makes his USC SA debut at Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway this Saturday night in a stunning field of 49 Sprintcars at the track he refers to “my favourite in Australia.”

Coinciding with the “Ultimate Pink Night” (Presented by Murray Bridge Toyota) where women of all ages are admitted to the Speedway free of charge and there is active promotion and fund-raising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, this Saturday night’s event may well be the biggest spectator affair for the entire season.

“History tells us at our sister Speedways in Toowoomba and Parramatta the Ultimate Pink Night events are hugely successful and we end up with thousands of people supporting the cause,” says Madetoogo Pty Ltd Managing Director, “I have no doubt that this Saturday night the SA Speedway public will get right behind the initiative too.”

Alice Springs born now Warrnambool Victoria based 27 year old James McFadden has plenty of experience racing at the Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway and relishes the chance to race for the $10,000 winner’s prize this weekend at the track he openly says is his favourite.

“I love the place. When it’s right you can come from anywhere to win. You can start from the back of a heat race and still win it. I love that you can run almost anywhere on the track. It rewards someone having a go. On its night it’s my favourite track in Australia,” McFadden smiles.

The field he faces is crack to say the least however with South Australian Steven Lines back for redemption after looking rapid on October 8 but blowing a motor before the main event and missing the big race.

Opening USC SA round winner Luke Dillon will be out to provide his victory was no fluke and few would deny that the second generation former F500 national champion now Sprintcar bounty hunter is in a prime position to go back to back.

USC Champion Jamie Veal will look to go one better than his second place to Dillon and South Aussie Matt Egel will also look to capitalize on his third place finish on October 8.

The dark horse in the field may well be Robbie Farr however.

The now-Gold Coast based Sydney-born and raised veteran has been in fine touch so far this season with wins at Archerfield, Toowoomba and Parramatta last weekend.

His experience at Murray Bridge is vast also.

West Australian Daniel Harding will make the trek across the Nullarbor Plains for his first interstate event in 2016/2017 after the young third generation racer has spent several months racing in the USA earlier this year. He will be joined by fellow Perth based WSS racer Jason Pryde for his first SA trip of the season.

Drivers from the Northern Territory (Ben Atkinson) New South Wales (Jordyn and Garry Brazier, Sam Walsh, James Thompson, Brendan Guerin, Ian Loudoun, Jackson Delamont, Jimmy Matchett, Max Johnston, Toby Bellbowen - who is battling back from a frightening crash at Parramatta last Saturday night – the Dumesny brothers Matt and Marcus, Stacey Galliford and Courtney O’Hehir) Victoria (Jamie Veal, Darren Mollenoyux, Peter Doukas and James McFadden) West Australia (Daniel Harding & Jason Pryde) Queensland based teams (Robbie Farr, Danny Reidy) Tasmanian Shaun Dobson and a horde of proud South Australians will converge this Saturday night.

South Australian stars to watch include:

    Luke Dillon
    Aidan Hall
    Adam Currie
    Brad Keller
    Chad Ely
    Craig Vanderstelt
    Daniel Pestka

This is surely the single most exciting era for South Australian Sprintcar racing in its history.

The Ultimate Pink Night is presented by Murray Bridge Toyota.

Also on the program will be a cracking field of over twenty-five Formula 500’s as the teams continue their preparation for the 2017 Australian Championship at MMS over Easter.

Leading the way will be Speedway Australia rising star Angelo Karoussis from Whyalla who is once again steering the Disbury Family Racing #36 Edge Chassis and will be out to atone for the disappointment of crashing out race leader on October 8 Jack Bell.

“I really didn’t mean to do that to Jack,” said a remorseful Karoussis after the incident, “I just got my entry into turn three wrong and crashed him out. I won’t be doing that again. A huge line-up of SA and Victorian stars will get after it this Saturday night including Warrnambool’s Jack Bell who will be one of the favourites to score victory.

A sizeable field of up to twenty Junior Sedans will also contest the evening.
