The new dates for the coming 2016/2017 season at Murray Bridge Machining & Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway have been announced today.

The headline concept for each of the dates have been revealed with the other racing categories being added once each Association has met and confirmed their participation with Tim McAvaney and Steven Green.

“These dates are locked in for us,” says Steven Green, “once Tim and I have locked in the other categories for each night we’ll be officially announcing those too. Right now, this current release at least allows fans, officials, teams and sponsors to see the season taking shape.”

Opening Night will kick off on Sunday, October 2 with 360ci Sprintcars and also a shakedown run (practice) for the Ultimate Sprintcars (USC) SA cars on the night as well.

Fans and teams will also see the new look commentary and audio-visual system with the Giant Video Screen in place.

Night Two is historic in many ways, including the fact that the Bill Wigzell Battle of the Bridge will be the first ever round of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship (USC) SA.

The event will be first of 8 USC SA nights of competition.

There are many themed nights and championships including just to name a few “Ultimate Pink Night” where women are admitted free of charge, “Ultimate Kids Night” (TBA date), Australian titles for Formula 500’s and Modified Sedans, the Tim Crouch Memorial for Speedcars, Super Sedans, Late Models and so much more.

“All the categories that we normally cater for will be here again,” says McAvaney, “and will be revealed soon. Right now what we’re releasing today is a purely an outline. It’s going to be an historic and memorable season on so many levels.”
