• Oklahoma lady Sprintcar racer Harli White will head to Australia this summer to compete in selected USC events at Valvoline Raceway Sydney with the possibility of USC QLD and USC SA events as well.

The promotable hard charging ASCS 360ci racer from Lindsay Oklahoma will hook up with Sydney car owner and Motoradco proprietor Paul Stirton to wheel the #10 A-One Charge Air Coolers Maxim from early December.

Now in her eighth year of competition since she began racing Micro Sprints White will race a 410ci Sprintcar for the first time upon belting into the #10.

“I think she’ll adapt very quickly,” says Stirton, “she’s already racing very well in the tough ASCS series in the States, “we’ll get her in for some pre Christmas racing at Valvoline Raceway in readiness for the international series. She’ll have had plenty of laps by that time.”

Stirton is also planning some interstate travel with White.

“We haven’t finalized our scheduled yet,” Paul explains, “but I’m hoping we can take in some racing at Toowoomba and Murray Bridge, and maybe even Warrnambool.”

Understandably White herself is thrilled with the prospect of racing in Australia.

“I was super pumped to hear about the idea when it first came up,” she said. “This whole thing is pretty amazing. It’s always a dream for sprint car racers to go over there and race. The family and team I’ll be racing for are super good people. I’ve had some fans from Australia already. To be able to meet them and make new fans will be awesome as well. I’m honored and blessed to be a part of something like this.”

The team is building two new racecars for the six-week trip and working on graphics, which will incorporate some of White’s sponsors in the United States.

With Adrian Maher retiring from the driving seat of the Motoradco #10 entry this past season the timing was right for the Stirton family to take Harli on.

“They’ve been following me through my career and their past driver just retired,” she said. “They were looking for a new driver and I guess my name has been on their list. One of the team guys is coming in June to spend a couple of weeks racing with us. Everyone at Harli White Racing is ecstatic for this opportunity.”

Valvoline Raceway Managing Director Steven Green is pleased that Parramatta will be Harli’s Australian home base.

“We’re excited that Harli’s coming to race with us,” says Green, “Paul Stirton and his team are investing heavily in her inventory and we can all see the publicity potential of her racing in Australia. She’s a great story and a very courageous young woman. The fans here will really love her I’m sure.”

More information on Harli’s schedule, her corporate sponsors, her public appearances, merchandise and publicity will follow soon.
