• Following his runner-up finish in the South Australian Super Sedan Championship Ryan Alexander joined Dave Gartner as a seven time winner in this year’s JD Couriers Super Series as he totally dominated round 15 of the series at Adelaide’s Speedway City. After winning both heat races Alexander went on to lead all 25 laps and ended up crossing the line more than a half a lap ahead of second placed Michael Miller.

During his outstanding feature race performance Alexander lowered the existing 25 lap track record that was set by Dan Miller way back in 2010, by over 11 seconds setting a new mark of 6:40.02.

During the trophy presentation for the final Speedway City event of the year Ryan was full of praise for his team and the Speedway City crew.

“The car in the final was amazing. I really must thank all of my guys for changing the engine during the week so I could race tonight. I must also thank the other competitors for coming out, it has been a tough season but the racing has been awesome all year. We have been racing side by side all year with great respect, racing as hard as we can without damaging each other. I also must thank Wendy and everyone at Speedway City for putting us on this year and John for his support of the series” added Ryan.

Second across the line was Michael Miller, who collected his ninth runner-up result, while Trevor Ware, who was driving the Bill Miller owned #77, finished on the podium for the first time this season. Fourth place went to Robbie Marchant in his #87 Corvette while Graham Stewart was the only other finisher in fifth. Paul Blenkiron failed to finish the final after his #22 Pontiac encountered an on board fire.

Earlier the heat results saw Alexander defeat Marchant and Miller in heat one while Alexander edged out Miller and Ware in the second 8 lap preliminary.

The final round of the 15 round series will be conducted at the Sunline Speedway at Waikerie on May 14, 2016 and will be fully supported by JD Couriers and Scotcher Race Fuels and Oils.
