• In a hard fought battle last night at Horsham’s Blue Ribbon Raceway Matthew Reed crossed the line first to add another feature win to his impressive resume.

Only the second time back this season for the ACT49 Team Reed had a calculated drive thru traffic for 30 laps. Young Brayden Parr again showed his raw talent bringing the V71 home in 2nd and Farmer Phil Lock rounding out the top three.

Reed lined up on the Pole with Foster sitting in 2, with young gun’s Corey Lincoln & Brayden Parr sitting behind them in 3 & 4. The total combined age of the second row not even totally the age of one driver on the front row! So again the All Stars had the “Master’s & Apprentices” lined up together to kick off an A Main. Reed got the start from Foster with Parr swooping into second immediately.

Foster slipping back a couple of positions only to finally tag the wall in turn 3 and flip onto his side bringing on the only red for the night and also ending his. Tricky track conditions challenged a few drivers and the yellows were bought on a couple of times. Brenten Farrer, Jimmy Gardiner & Dion Bellman all bringing on the yellows at various stages of the race and having to do it all again from the rear. Farrer driving back up to 4th place & Bellman back up to 7th. Gardiner eventually pulling infield with mechanical issues.

Consistency again displayed by Corey Lincoln in his Lincolns Earthmoving V8 being rewarded by 5th place and also allowing him to maintain his lead in the Series Championship.

Jed Bells SA18 locked into the Pole Shoot Out but didn’t get the results he wished in the A pulling infield with brake problems. Another young SA rookie who shows improvement each time he hits the track is SA16 Jack Gartner and finishing 6th in the A.

The series held its annual charity raising event with donations this season being given to the Safe Steps Family Violence Foundation. Thanks to Christine Farrer for giving her time to sell raffle tickets throughout the very hot afternoon. Raising $850 is rewarding result for all involved.
