Thirty plus Standard Saloons featuring nominations from many of the state’s best are set to sizzle when they do battle at Redline Raceway on Saturday night for what is the prestigious 'Chivers Memorial' with the Victorian champion Scott Whittle to defend against the states number two driver Mark Miles, the state point score leader Matthew Domburg & a host of other chances in the field.

Along with the memorial the co-main event is the Amca Nationals series round with supports from Street Stocks, Unlimited Sedans & V8 Thunder Sedans bringing the car count up to almost one hundred.

Local club members & Ballarat based racers in the Chivers Memorial will have to work extremely hard Saturday night to take on Whittle, Miles & Domburg with Craig Templeton, Jo-Anne Scott, Jay Dickson, David Chivers, Tim Hutchinson & Allan Farmer amongst the home track heroes keen to take out their biggest local event of the season.

Other strong competitors too watch include Nick Chrystie, Luke Dart, Russell Hill, Bradley Hill, Paul Domburg & Aaron Marshall.

The Amca National field has been boosted by the return to racing of current Australian champion Mark Lincoln. Lincoln recently was confirmed as driver for a South Australian based car owner & took a win in South Australia recently. Bill Lodwick, the Mills boys, Paul Sullivan, Jamie Collins & Dean Heseltine will all be amongst the challengers for Lincoln.

The Unlimited Sedan field includes last start at Redline winner Nathan Fawns. Great competition will come from Scott Ellis who has been firing in a state series of late & Matty Chiminello driving a 347ci Windsor powered FG Falcon. Corey Knox, Craig Phillips & Des Birkin are others set to challenge.

Street Stocks a late addition to the program with twenty cars & V8 Thunder Sedans complete the show.

Gates open to the public on Saturday at 2pm with racing from 4pm & adults is $20, aged & disabled pensioners $15, kids 6 to 15 years of age $5 each under 6 is free or for a family of two adults and three kids $50
