• With less than two weeks to go for the first round of the 2015-2016 SRA Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series at Avalon Raceway the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria Inc is pleased to announce other sponsors for the Eureka Series along with sponsors for the SRA 360 Sprintcar events during the season.

    One of the most sort after prizes in the Eureka Garages and Sheds Series in the past has been the KTM Motorbike and the 2015-2016 Series will be no different with KTM Australia confirming that the KTM award will continue with a 2016 model KTM 250EXC valued at over $11,500. Once again this award with be up for grabs to the top ten drivers that compete in ten or more of the Eureka Series rounds and finish in the top ten in points for a random draw at the presentation Dinner.

    Over the years thanks to Jeff Leisk and KTM Australia many drivers have been recipients of the KTM prize, Mike Van Bremen, Rod Matthews, Ryan Davis, Brett Milburn who has taken the KTM twice and last season Daniel Pestka took the award. The Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria thanks KTM and Jeff Leisk for this fantastic prize and for their continued support over so many years in the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series.

    The Eureka Series has attracted two new sponsors for this season 2015-2016.

    Steelpipes Pty Ltd an Australian Family owned business based in Unanderra in New South Wales is joining the Series for the first time. The company was established in 1995 and has grown to be one of the major suppliers of industrial pipe requirements for some of the biggest projects right around Australia. From Queensland down to Tasmania and across to Western Australia. Steelpipes pride themselves on supplying the best quality pipe products to suit their customer requirements in the large steel pipe industry.

    Steelpipes Pty Ltd manger James McIlwraith runs a very successful business and the Speedway industry is please to have attracted the companies interest, Steelpipes Pty Ltd are a sponsor of the likable Eddie Lumbar out of New South Wales. Steelpipes Pty Ltd will be sponsoring the award for the first driver that misses out on a transfer from the B Main to the A Main at each round of the Series with an extra $100 added to their night’s prize money. The SRA is pleased to have another great Australian company on board in the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series.

    Also joining the Eureka Series for their first time is Eliminator Race Wings who will be sponsoring a top of the range Top Wing and a front wing as an end of the series award that will go to the driver that transfers from the B Main to the A Main event the most.

    Eliminator Race Wings is based out of Dubbo in New South Wales that is owned and run by the Cross Family. Michael runs the racing Wing department with assistance from his father Frank and brother Jeremy. The Cross family is renowned for their race team preparation and presentation and the Eliminator Race Wings will be of equally high quality and of the highest standards and performance.

    The nightly hard luck award is once again sponsored by D& F Racing, Greg Foster of D&F Racing has been a major part of the Australian Sprintcar scene for many years in an official role and also through his business of making components and repairs of chassis for customers Australia.

    With the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series sponsors now released along with other season sponsors the SRA is pleased to be able to confirm new sponsors that will be backing the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria 360 Sprintcar events during the 2015-2016 season.

    The SRA 360 Sprintcar Events booked in this season are the annual 360 Sprintcar Gold Cup at Western Speedway Hamilton in December, the Victoria 360 Sprintcar Title at Avalon in January and the SRA 360 Hickman Sprintcar Challenge once again at Heartland Raceway in April.

    Hickman’s Environmental & Tree Maintenance of Bendigo continues as the naming sponsor of the SRA 360 Sprintcar Challenge at Heartland Raceway Echuca/ Moama.
    The Hickman family are great supporters of speedway and to have their backing through Hickman’s Environmental & Tree Maintenance for a third straight season is fantastic for not only the SRA but the 360 Sprintcar competitors.

    AUTOPREMIER Fleet Maintenance joins the SRA to supply a $150 parts voucher at Parr Motorsports for each of the SRA 360 Sprintcar events, the award for the voucher is yet to be announced. There is more good news from AUTOPREMIER Fleet Maintenance, the company will also put added prize money into the SRA 360 Sprintcar Victorian Title. AUTOPREMIER Fleet Maintenance is an automotive business for trucks based at 138 Australis Drive Derrimut and company principal Chris Best goes onto say “we are pleased to be involved with the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria where we have this great opportunity to be involved and support each of the SRA 360 sprintcar events during the 2015-2016 season”

    Eureka Garages and Sheds sponsor Parr Motorsport has expanded their sponsorship involvement in the SRA adding a financial input into the SRA 360 Sprintcar Victoria Title prize money Poole. The SRA thank Adrian and Kim Parr for their generous offer to enhance the SRA 360 Sprintcar Title and the support that they have given to many competitors competing in both the Open and 360 SRA sprintcar competition.

    Also coming on board with the SRA 360 Sprintcars is Ascot Vale Sports and Trophies that will present a trophy to the best present 360 Sprintcar at each of the SRA 360 Sprintcar events. Ascot Vale Sports and Trophies is a supplier of sporting goods to many sports along with a very big array of trophies for all sporting needs.

    With all the sponsor announcements now released time is running down with the first Sprintcar race meeting booked in for Saturday the 17th of October, round one of the Eureka Garages and Shed Sprintcar Series at Avalon Raceway Lara.
