• Four time Australian Speedcar Champion Adam Clarke says he will not settle for anything less than victory as he prepares to contest the opening round of the Speedcar Super Series at Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba this Saturday night, October 10.

Clark adds it is not only success and a win in the first of five rounds he is chasing, but he also wants the 2015-16 season Speedcar Super Series Championship.

Adam is one of 13 contracted drivers signed by SSS Director Ken Jenkins for this season.

In addition to Clarke, the other drivers are: Nathan Smee, Mark Brown, Aidan Corish, Michael Stewart, Brett Thomas, Anthony Chaffey, Jason Bell, Brendan Palmer, Paul Murphy, Dayne Kingshott, Brayden Willmington and Troy Ware (main event winner at Brisbane Archerfield Speedway, October 3).

When it comes to talking about this season's Speedcar Super Series – it's all business, a full-on commitment to claim what has so far eluded Clarke in his illustrious career: a SSS championship.
He wants to tick that off his bucket list.

In fact, there are two victories he is chasing this season – one with very serious overtones and the other tongue-in-cheek.
The other, maybe is not so important on a national scale as the SSS, but something that is a personal objective, despite verging on the trivial with a touch of comedy relief thrown into the mix. Adam's penchant is to win the chook raffle at his local club. “The only things I haven't won is the Speedcar Super Series and the chook raffle and I am hunting for 'em this season. I am going racing to win and I am also going to the club trying to win the big prize and get the double,” he joked.

But there's no joking when it comes to the importance he places on this season's Speedcar Super Series.

“Last season I dropped a round and that's what cost us,” Adam said in relation to his runner-up finish.
“You have to be consistent without a DNF. I think in the last few years the SSS has grown considerably and this season will be very tough. We have the current champion Nathan Smee, Brownie (Mark Brown) is back and he has won it five times, then we have the young gun from the west Dayne Kingshott who is coming east to try and take it off us.”

The Hunter Valley (NSW) Hurricane will again be assigned the driving duties for Jack Berry Racing out of Brisbane, Queensland.
Adam shares a rare distinction with Australian Speedcar and Sprintcar legend, George Tatnell.

Like George, Adam has won the Australian Speedcar Championship, Australian Speedcar Grand Prix, NSW Sprintcar Championship and NSW Speedcar Championship.
He also has the honour of winning the three Speedcar Championships in the one season.
