• Sprintcar fans rejoice!

Not only will fans attending the 2016 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Premier Speedway Warrnambool witness some outstanding Sprintcar Racing, they’ll also now have the chance to see the original Dirt Track Cowboy Adam Brand perform with his ripping new band “Adam Brand and the Outlaws” at the Flying Horse Bar and Brewery on Wednesday night, January 27!

It’s no coincidence that Brand will be in town the week between the Classic and the 2016 Australian Sprintcar Championship at Warrnambool.

Brand worked hard on squeezing in a date in the Warrnambool region knowing full well that it will be full of ‘his people’ (Sprintcar fans) during that time.

“It’s a hectic schedule we have,” Brand admits, “we’re doing about 9 shows in 10 days which means that I can’t actually see any Sprintcar Racing while I’m there but I can do the next best thing and rock out with the Speedway fans at The Flying Horse.”

“It’s a win-win deal for everyone,” says Premier Speedway manager David Mills, “fans who are in town for the week between the Classic and the Aussie title now get to see Adam and his band perform in what will no doubt be a sell out show at the Flying Horse. My advice is that people should get their tickets early.”

It should be pointed out that the show is NOT an all ages gig, something that has not escaped the attention of Brand himself.

“I know that some of our fans will be disappointed because kids under 18 can’t attend,” says Adam, “but I might have a special solution to that problem that I’m working on with Wade (Aunger) at the moment. We will hopefully update you on that soon.”

Brand’s new band makes no bones about it’s policy for raising the roof and rocking the house with a move towards some of the most iconic party and rock tunes ever recorded by a wide variety of artists (read the remainder of this release) but there will be one major focus designed to delight Speedway fans at ‘the Horse’.

“We will definitely be doing Dirt Track Cowboys, and Wade will be there with me to do it. It’s not very often that we’re in the same place at the same time but this time we’re making sure we get together and rock Dirt Track. I know that we’re both pumped about performing it together after such a long time.”

2016 will mark the 18th anniversary of the song that has been adopted across Australia as the Speedway anthem and to mark the occasion Brand and Aunger have a couple of special items to celebrate.

“We can’t say too much right now, but I think Speedway fans are going to be pretty excited,” says Aunger, “Warrnambool fans in particular are going to really enjoy what they see and hear.”

Tickets are on sale now for the one-night-only show and fans are urged to book their tickets now.

    EXCERPT FROM PRESS RELEASE:

Hot on the heels of their debut performance at the Gympie Muster, Adam Brand And The Outlaws unleash their first single, “Good Year For The Outlaw”. The outfit also confirmed recently the release date of their highly anticipated debut self-titled album; ready to drop on 8th January 2016.

Fronted by 12 x Golden Guitar-winner and multi ARIA Award-nominee Adam Brand, The Outlaws are an all-star line-up of Australian country music’s best-loved and most prolific names: Drew McAlister, Travis Collins, Matt Cornell and Mike Carr.

The debut release is a fourteen-tracker, exploding with covers of classic rock favourites from across the years from Cold Chisel’s ‘Working Class Man’, to Queen’s ‘Fat Bottom Girls’ and Jet’s smash hit ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’. It’s all killer, no filler. The album was recorded in Sydney’s Rancom Street Studios, produced by Adam Brand and engineered and mixed by Ted Howard.

Lead single is the band’s rock’n’roll anthem ‘Good Year For The Outlaw’.

"When you put 5 guys in a prison cell dressed in orange overalls with no rules, cameras rolling and an agenda that says "Don't hold back", you’re going to get a video that makes a statement”, said Adam Brand. “Lines were crossed and then crossed again, some limped away, some packed ice on bruises and some simply collapsed in a corner with a cold beer at the end of the day... But one thing we all shared was a huge grin from ear to ear and a devil-may-care attitude. This is a band called The Outlaws after all... So expect the unexpected from our videos, the songs that we blast out and the live show, which will be so high voltage it's gonna need a warning sticker!”
