• The second round of the AHG Triple Crown Series will be a must see event on Easter Saturday at the Perth Motorplex.

Judging by the opening round last week, the fans and the drivers alike loved the new-look format which produced plenty of exciting racing.

The knockout series proved very popular as did the drivers having a rear of the field and a front position start in the heat races - along with the 30-lap Main event.

Ryan Farrell, the most experienced driver in the field, made good use of the knockout series to start from the front row of the grid and never looked like being beaten.

Jason Kendrick finished in second place to bank some serious points.
With Jamie Veal not returning this time, recently crowned AHG Sprintcar Series champion Cameron Gessner effectively sits in third spot in the standings.

All of the other competitors will be aiming for a finish high up the list to maximise their points haul in the three round tourney.

Especially Shaun Bradford who was running fourth when he got mixed up in an accident and crashed into the safety fence.

The third generation racer is the fastest ever man around the 500 metre high banked Perth Motorplex oval with a 12.615 second sizzler to his credit three years ago.

Ken Sartori makes a welcome return to competition in the #50 Watsons Transport entry.

Others likely to figure in the final reckoning on Saturday include David Priolo, Carl Dowling and Jamie Maiolo.

An added bonus for the A Main victor is that he will join Ryan Farrell in the knockout series on the final night of the competition - April 18.
