• This Saturday night (March 28) the Transport Warehouse & Solutions 360ci SA Sprintcar Series continues at the Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway as the 360ci drivers compete at the prestigious Ross Wright Memorial. This weekend’s event will be round 6 of the series with the Grand Final to be staged next Friday night at the Tolmer Speedway at Bordertown, with the event doubling as the South Australian Championship.

Going into the penultimate round Woodside resident Sam Putland leads the championship on 710 points and he holds a commanding lead over his nearest rival Shane Hendry.

Along with the two Championship rivals the 13 car field also comprises of some of the best 360ci drivers in the country. Broken Hill resident Darryl Guerin is still within striking distance and his runner-up position last weekend at Speedway City helped close the gap on the top two.

After a strong showing in the opening four rounds Daniel Evans and Nicole Hill unfortunately lost ground to the overall leaders last weekend after Evans suffered engine dramas while in contention for the win while Hill totally destroyed her race car in a nasty heat race crash that also damaged the front straight access gate! With the series all but lost both of these talented drivers will simply be out for race victories and this weened could be their opportunity.

Speaking of race wins that his exactly what Michael Lovegrove achieved at Speedway City in what was his first completed round of the current series and he will be hoping to be the spoiler again at Murray Bridge. Jamie Hendry is also in a similar situation as Lovegrove as he missed two rounds early on so he has nothing to lose and with two podium results already this season he will aiming for the top step.

The remaining local drivers in the quality line-up include Jed Bell, who has now snuck inside the top 10 in the overall series points, Chris Evans, rookie Jack McCarthy and Mount Gambier's Rory Button.

In addition to the local stars a couple of the Northern Territories best (Nick Halkitis and Dale Griffin) will also be on hand to add a little more spice into the mix so all in all it should be a great night of 360ci Sprintcar action.

Points in the Transport & Warehouse Solutions 360ci after 5 Rounds:
    1. Sam Putland 710 points, 2. Shane Hendry 684, 3. Darryl Guerin 668, 4. Dan Evans 654, 5. Nicole Hill 630, 6. Brendan Quinn 448, 7. Chad Ely 432, 8. Jamie Hendry 416, 9. Michael Burford 390, 10. Jed Bell 374.

The Sprintcar Competitors of SA would like to thank Transport & Warehouse Solutions, Cody Corporation, Oval Track Imports and Scotcher Race Fuels & Oils for their support of the 360ci State Series and the Murray Bridge Speedway for hosting round 6 of the 2014/15 season.
