• As the Sydney Sprintcar season draws to a close, one driver who is looking to finish on a high is Jackson Delamont.

    Currently running seventh in the track championship, Jackson is locked into an intense battle with Toby Bellbowen and Danny Reidy for a top five spot in the season-long point score.

    Going into this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, the team is leaving nothing to chance and inserting a fresh power plant into the Mad Harry’s Steel, Steel Supplies and KRE Racing Engines sponsored #48 machine.

    “We have been working real hard getting the new motor in,” Jackson said as he prepared for this weekend. “We have started the car and everything is running good. I am confident of a good showing for these final weeks of the season.”

    There is an added bonus for this month of racing in Sydney with organisers increasing prize money for the four meetings; certainly news that appeals to a Sprintcar driver.

    “It’s a bit hard to be more determined than what we already are,” Jackson laughed, “it does make you work a little harder though knowing there is extra money on the line.”

    The end of the season in Sydney certainly doesn’t mean the end of Jackson’s season. He is planning on contesting the Easter Sprintcar Trail, held each year at Avalon Raceway, Victoria; Borderline Speedway, Mount Gambier and Premier Speedway, Warrnambool.

    “I am looking forward to getting back down south. We had a good run there in January and the Easter Trail is always a tough deal and that’s what makes it a challenge.”

    Jackson’s month of speed kicks off this Saturday night at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway with time trials commencing at 6pm. If you can’t make it trackside, make sure you keep up to date with what is going on at Jackson’s Facebook page – www.facebook.com/jacksondelamont48 and you can also watch the live video feed at Valvoline Raceway’s Clay Per View – www.clayperview.com.

    Jackson Delamont Motorsport would like to thank the following for their support of the 2014/15 season;

    Mad Harry’s Steel
    Steel Supplies
    KRE Racing Engines
