• Right behind the super strong assault that is going to be coming from the Rosedale Speedway Club, Alexandra & Belmont (Redline) Speedway Clubs may not be blessed with the nomination count of the host club, however they have likely feature race qualifiers from top to bottom of their nomination list.

Firstly Alexandra’s representatives include former state champion Dale Morrison leading the charge with Nick Chrystie, Brad Hill, Ben Randall, Kellie Jenkins, Matt Nelson all drivers who just cannot be ignored as potential podium finishers & in the case of Hill who finished second to Chris Stewart at Drouin & Randall & Nelson who are proven race winners there is every chance that Alexandra can take that number one plate, then throw in Debbie Jones who just needs to repeat her performance from Alexandra a few seasons back when she finished second behind David Cull in a state title & potentially we might just have a our first female to win the Open Standard Saloon state title.

Four time state champion Scott Whittle leads the charge from the Belmont Club with fierce rival & good mate Craig Templeton in form on the back of his recent Chivers Memorial podium place.

Mark Seller’s luck has just started to change with a strong result at the Chivers Memorial also & with the great set up he has underneath him, the Geelong based runner could be set to impress at Rosedale & there wouldn’t be many out there more deserving with the travelling Seller does to support venues around Victoria each season.

‘Farmer Boy’ Allan Farmer is another driver in need of some luck, like Seller he has a you beaut’ set up & if he & the car fires anything can happen for Big Al.

    13 Dale Morrison
    26 Brad Hill
    39 Ben Randall

    Belmont Speedway Club (Redline)

    67 Scott Whittle

Watch for the Alexandra & Belmont crews this weekend they most definitely have plans to upset the home crowd & take the title away from Gippsland.

The Victorian Speedway Council wishes drivers from both clubs the best possible weekend at Rosedale & lots of fun socialising with fellow competitors.
