• As the racing season really begins to heat up right across Australia, pre-event planning continues at Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway for the 43rd Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic with more drivers indicating their intentions as nominations continue to roll in.

Having toured the country for a majority of his racing career, popular live wire racer Danny Reidy has found himself contesting events between Brisbane and Sydney more in recent times, although the Classic is always high on his agenda.

The Northern Territory native who now calls Queensland home was right in the mix during the 2014 Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic where he charged through the B-Main during his Saturday night qualifying run before settling for 14th in the Oval Express Magazine Australia – America Challenge Cup on night two.

From there Danny was forced to contest the C-Main on the Sunday night, subsequently finishing second and transferring to the B-Main where his hard charging run finished with an 11th place finish.

For the 2015 Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Reidy will again enjoy the support of Desert Palms Resort, Inglis Race Engines and Eye C U Security.

Joining Danny Reidy at the Classic will be Victorian Luke Nash who will be aiming to improve on his 2014 Classic result.

Nash, who was jointly responsible for bringing Danny Smith to the Classic a couple of seasons ago now has stepped right up to the plate with his own racing commitments have spent a number of nights contesting the Sydney Speedway Track Championship as well as the opening rounds of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series in his native Victoria.

Having just failed to make a transfer from the D-Main in 2014, it can go on the record that Luke Nash and his supporting sponsors Morse Power, TriTech Lubricants, LPS, Cheetah Imports, BPR Trenching and Autobarn of Narre Warren will be keen to put their best foot forward come January.

One man that has certainly put his best foot forward so far in the 2014-15 season is South Australian Scott Bogucki.

Bogucki will contest his first Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic in 2015, but will bring new found confidence to the Classic having topped the charts at Speedway City’s Sprintcar Masters, where he famously claimed the $10,000.00 winners cheque.

While many big names were present for the Masters, it is widely anticipated that the level of competition will go up yet another notch come the weekend of the Classic.

With the on-going support of Crack Sealing Australia, Hampton Diesel, Hampton Haulage, Twinny Tyre and Battery, Gaskell Contractors, Channon Alterations and Additions and Rowe Aluminum one thing for sure is that Scott Bogucki and his team will be putting their best foot forward.

The final driver in our most recent batch of nominations is Tim Hutchins from Tasmania.

Hutchins missed the 2014 Classic, preferring to remain in his native Tasmania ahead of what was a home state National Championship in the week following.

The ‘Tornado’ as he is affectionately known will return once more to try and conquer the Sungold Stadium high banks with the support of GBE Engineering, Warrnambool Locksmith’s, SKS Oil Distributions, Sig Signs and Bullet Engines.

The 43rd Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic as supported by Oval Express Magazine, GJ Gardner Homes, KRE Race Engines and the Lady Bay Resort Warrnambool will be held at Premier Speedway on January 23, 24 & 25, 2015.

    End Release.
