Jackson Delamont returns to Valvoline Raceway this Saturday night full of confidence after a season’s best ninth place finish at the same venue two weeks ago.

Talking to Jackson, you get the feeling he really wants to consolidate on his efforts from last weekend and even though it’s in every driver’s nature to want to go better than last time, Jackson wants it that little bit more.

“We have had a good lead-up to this weekend,” Jackson enthused, “we were loaded up for this weekend on Monday and we have been busy studying on set up sheets.”

Jackson also makes mention of the importance of setting up for a good night through time trials.

“Qualifying is massively important. With the format depending so much on your times, if you miss the invert, it makes for a tough night straight off the bat. If we continue what we have been doing with qualifying, we should be good for the invert.”

With such a big field nominated for the event, Jackson would like nothing more than to stand atop the victory dais with an A-Main win under his belt.

“If everything goes OK, we definitely have the equipment to get the job done. As long as I am on my game and we have a bit of luck, I don’t see why we can’t park the Mad Harry’s Steel, Steel Supplies, KRE powered Maxim number 48 in victory lane.”

This event is almost a pre curser to the big international meetings that will highlight the Christmas/New Year period and Jackson is pretty comfortable with how he is travelling with those big meetings in sight.

“We are going along good and with a bit of luck, it will all fall into place and we can score some good, strong results.”
