  • “I don’t think there’s a track in the world that gets 60 Sprintcars to a club show,” is how Robbie Farr describes the significance of this Saturday night’s race event that he’ll contest at Sydney Speedway.

    In what will be his final appearance at the Parramatta venue before December 26’s Boxing Day International Season kick off Farr knows that the team needs to treat this last appearance as critical.

    “We bolted a new car together last week and I can already feel the difference,” explains Robbie, “we ran fourth in last Saturday night’s A-Main after setting quick time at Archerfield (Speedway in Queensland) and the car felt great. It doesn’t look good on paper that we ran fourth but the track and our marble draws didn’t allow for a huge amount of progress. I’m happy as we come back to Sydney.”

    Qualifying, in the 60-car field, will be vital and the best car set-up then is also paramount.

    “We’ve been trying a few things lately with the set up of our car which hasn’t necessarily given us the best shot at wins but we needed to try. Knowing that this is our last chance to race in Sydney before Christmas means we’re going back to our set-up that is always fast. This is a great chance to test ourselves in the strongest field in Australia so far this year.”
