After a couple of rough weekends at least the good news is the new Harding Racing merchandise has arrived and it looks pretty damn nice, even if we are a bit biased!!

While the past couple of events have ended with a crash at Bunbury where another of the HR12 chassis’s required some repairs, plus not making the podium at the Pithara racetrack have left the team a little down with their on track results.

‘Bunbury was simply bad luck” reflected driver Daniel Harding this week. “We had ‘chased the car’ all night, trying to work out why we couldn't get any faster. We had started to get it where we wanted for the start of the A-Main and it felt great in the opening laps. I was in behind Jamie Maiolo who went low, so I decided to change lanes and move up track. Unfortunately the car dug in hard on the right rear and pulled a huge wheel stand and when the front came down the chassis dug into the dirt, broke the car and flipped over as well.”

The run at Pithara for the Bonza Bradford Memorial provided some good results with some podium placings in the heats, before Harding ran out of tyres during the running of the final. “It was probably a case of me trying to chase down the leaders to hard, too early and I wore the tyres out to quick and though I’m not satisfied not winning, looking at the tyres after I was fortunate to finish with a fifth place finish” said Daniel on his return to the workshop after the event.

“When you race you have to expect some bad luck, hopefully we have used all of ours up damaging two chassis’s so early in the season. The wins may not exactly have come our way, I’m not despondent about what we are doing. The guys have put in a remarkable effort to get us to the track, building and then re-building the cars. Naturally I’d love to have had a win or two for their efforts but those wins will come as long as we keep heeding in the right direction…and thats not giving up!! If it was easy everyone would do this” he said finishing with a smile.

So the results on track might not be what the One Life/Rentco team are happy with, everyone involved are excited about the new merchandise that has arrived from R&R Enterprises in the last week. With only a week between meetings the team will once again be under the pump to make sure they are well and ready with some long days needed in the workshop to build another car for this weekends King Of The Wings event at the Perth Motorplex. They have done it before and we know they can do it again.
